D-Flint is joining Flint Board of Education members in expressing outrage that city students were ridiculed through a "Practical Math" test discussed on Saginaw-based WHNN-FM (96.1) and posted on its Web site. In a news release today. Clack a former Flint schools teacher condemned the station for its "inflammatory activity." The test included questions involving drug deals drive-by shootings prostitution and crime saying that Flint schools were teaching math skills students could use in "real-life situations." The station publicly apologized on its Web site saying. "it was not the intent to embarrass any children teachers or staff of Flint Community Schools." "WHNN management should be the ones embarrassed at their insensitive and blatantly racist behavior especially in light of our city's struggle to stop the loss of innocent lives to drive-bys and other senseless crimes," Clack said in the prepared statement. "It's hard to fathom that this type of ignorance and racism still exists in this day and age but it does -- and we must stand up against it." It took myself and my technical nephew about 3 months to figure out fully how to provide the service it came about after one of his friends started an online radio station to 80 listeners.. then got a lay at a professional online radio station. He bragged and bragged and i wondered what the fuss was about until i logged on one night while he was playing.. it sounded like our local radio station he was brill and it was refreshing to hear his express! Although at 64kbps he never sounded as good as he could have been. We researched (well actually mostly the nephew) for a few months into offering the function and once we got it just alter and could offer it at manifold the kbps he offered it to his friend who in turn talked to the radio station as a complete newbie to it we offered it for free to test the kinks and see if we really could command it.. to be totally honest as soon as it started it failed we ran into so many problems running them off the port they had already been used to and i started to furnish up but after a few tutorials and 2 months later we do brilliantly they plug us 4 times a day for our services and it works like a charm!Anyone else find Shoutcast (hosting it or not) a good listen during the day?
