Preview Out of NecessityHey folks,I planed on talking a lot about H. Res. 106. There is a very specific reason that some in Congress wanted to go this non-binding resolution blaming Turkey of genocide. Turkey has a potential of hindering the War effort. More on that to come either later or tomorrow. Actually I got a lot I be to talk about. However. I open out late yesterday that I have to leave well soon to go to a meeting this morning. So I leave you with this to evaluate about. How much you want to bet Rep. Henry Waxman is back pedaling or outright lying because he got CAUGHT? Because YOU flooded his office with telecommunicate calls after learning about his plans? Because what he wanted to do was brought to light? Like cockroaches scattering when the light comes on the LWL divide when their hidden agendas are brought to lighten. I leave you with this sorry I have no measure to comment more but it seems pretty obvious. See you soon. PeterCNS News -By Nathan Burchfiel CNSNews com cater Writer October 10. 2007(1st Add: Includes comments from the American Spectator.)(CNSNews com) - Rep. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) on Wednesday denied that he is conducting or ever planned to care a congressional investigation of go Limbaugh. Sean Hannity and Mark Levin and called on a conservative magazine to disown its report that he asked investigators to compile information on the popular conservative talk radio hosts."The American Spectator inform about a congressional investigation into talk radio is completely false," Waxman head of the House Oversight and Government ameliorate Committee said in a statement to Cybercast News Service. "There is no investigation."Waxman was referring to a report Monday that he "has asked his investigative staff to begin compiling reports on Limbaugh and fellow radio hosts Sean Hannity and Mark Levin based on transcripts from their shows" to create a case for bringing back the Fairness Doctrine. When asked if there had been ideas or plans to compile reports on the talk radio hosts a spokesman for Waxman said. "No there were not."In his statement. Waxman called on the Spectator to "immediately retract the item and defend for the confusion its fictitious report has caused."In a posting on its Web site an unnamed American Spectator author wrote that Waxman's denial "won't sway us from our reporting of earlier this week. And we rest by our story which was conveyed to us by an Oversight Committee staffer.""advance," the statement says. "we undergo been made aware of some conversations between staff on Oversight and career staff at the Federal Communications Commission about how best to come oversight hearings on FCC policies."The magazine accused Waxman of "looking for any opportunity to 1. Pursue and attack conservatives and the Bush administration; and 2. Gain gobs of publicity for Democrats in general and Rep. Waxman specifically. He accomplishes these lofty goals by using taxpayer dollars to analyse any number of individuals organizations government entities corporations and industries."Limbaugh came under fire from Democrats recently when he used the term "phony soldiers" in setting up discussion about Jesse Macbeth an anti-war activist who was sentenced to five months in prison for falsifying his military records. Macbeth claimed to have served in Iraq and Afghanistan and said in online videos that he witnessed U. S troops committing atrocities there. But Macbeth never served overseas having been in the Army only 44 days. Limbaugh's comment set off a firestorm of criticism from Democrats in Congress and the liberal media critic assort Media Matters for America which claimed that Limbaugh used the "phony soldiers" label to describe all soldiers who oppose the war in Iraq. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and other Democrats sent a letter to alter Channel Communications asking the broadcasting giant to force Limbaugh to defend. In the House. Rep. Mark Udall (D-Colo.) introduced a resolution that would have condemned Limbaugh. Rep. bring up Kingston (R-Ga.) who introduced his own resolution in support of Limbaugh said Democrats' efforts to condemn the popular talk radio entertain were an attempt to lay the groundwork for bringing back the Fairness Doctrine. The Fairness Doctrine is a federal regulation that requires broadcasters to present both sides of a controversial air. The rule was enforced from 1949 to 1987 when the Reagan administration allowed it to lapse.

"Songs from the Night I Met My Wife - A Tribute" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-10-24 08:14:23

It was May 29. 1991 and I was a junior in college. Two of my friends wanted to go out and party in Austin (we lived in Georgetown about 30 minutes north). I was the one with a car and I really didn't want to go out. They convinced me and I told them that if we were going out we were going to stay out LATE (such is the logic of a 20-year old dude). It was a Wednesday which meant that there was really only one good choice - The Sanitarium which played early 80's music every Wednesday night. Around 11:30 or so. I was on the rather crowded dance floor (well really it was more like a stage) and my future wife came up to me and said. "You dance really well." The rest is history. Three children and over sixteen years later we have had a terrific time and life together since that fateful night. I always like to joke that my wife picked me up in a club. My wife is tall (5'11") and she tells the story this way to our friends (and I quote): "I was bored because my friend Amy had gone away somewhere to talk to a musician she met. I saw a tall cute guy dancing (Editor's note: who would that be?), Before you bother to make any humorous comments about the fact that she was bored and had nothing better to do and that's why she approached me believe me. I have heard them all before. A. I am a good enough dancer that I managed to score a tall beautiful woman as my wife by using my mad dancing skills. B. I will never forget that night as long as I live. That being said. I wanted to commemorate that night with a selection of tunes that we danced to and also give some other memories along the way. I hope you enjoy this one. - This was one of the more memorable songs from that night. We even danced like the lead singer does for a few seconds in the last half minute or so of this video (arms behind our backs flapping elbows to the sides like wings). Yes. I am a shameless fool on the dance floor when there is a song that I like playing. By the way what was the deal with this band anyway? The video depicts them as some type of roving band of ugly English hillbillies. Some of the choreography honestly reminds me of the Jets vs the Sharks in "West Side Story". How did this song manage to make it in the era when video was everything? It is just doggone good - I still like hearing it. - Sorry - I couldn't find a good video for this one. We were standing outside the club trying to cool down (it was a large club with like one window unit for cooling the whole place) when this song came on. This lovely girl I had just met said. "We have to dance to this!" and we went back inside for more. I don't have any major memories of this one other than I feel sure we danced to it that evening. This song has become one of my all-time favorites since it is linked to both my wife and the very first time I spent the night at my best friend's house in junior high. As I recall that was back when "Friday Night Videos" was on and he and I watched this video on his living room floor. A song gains a certain hook in your brain if it has multiple good memories attached to it. I had a similar experience with this song. It reminds me of my wife and it also reminds me of being 12 years old and listening to this tune repeatedly on the patio of our house in Dallas on a RECORD PLAYER (how old am I anyway?) trying to learn the lyrics in German and in English. We also heard Yaz (""). Whenever I hear the opening lyrics to this particular song it instantly transports me back to my youth and I hope it always does. Here is a sampling of additional tunes so that you can feel like you were there with us: I hesitate to admit that this video actually used to scare me a little bit when I was young. Who am I kidding? It still scares me watching it today. This song actually has the quintessential 80's video - mascara-wearing androgyny on display techno pop tune very literal story-telling. Ugliest lead singer ever? Perhaps. However. I still jam (is that still a word used in common parlance?) when this song comes on My wife and I actually both hate this song but for different reasons. She hates it with the pure hatred of someone who loves the band but only dislikes their one huge hit song. Much like Rolling Stones fans not enjoying "Satisfaction" (too commercial) or Deadheads not liking "Touch of Gray" or Doors fans not liking "Love Her Madly". Actually. I got that last one about the Doors from a skit on "Kids in the Hall". If you are not following my logic don't sweat it - this post is really for my wife anyway. Thanks for coming along on my journey. This was fun at least for me. I decided to write a new post about music since my others got a good response: Crouchie thanks for the trip down memory lane. I can certainly remember all of those 80's songs. How fortunate that the two of you met on that fateful night. BTW. I did kinda chuckle at the comment above mine by an anonymous commenter (but you may wish to use your Power to Delete). JASON: I'm with Brian on the power to delete. Getting back to your post. Are you sure that this was a real night? It sounds like a soundtrack to a John Hughes film as does the story. Maybe you're not really even married. Here's one for you movie buff - Is it possible that the girl that you're speaking about is from Canada? Who else had a fake girlfriend in Canada? Those songs really defined the era. I still like hearing many of them but can't imagine any of them coming out today. "I am a good enough dancer that I managed to score a tall beautiful woman as my wife by using my mad dancing skills." "You know like nunchuku skills bow hunting skills computer hacking skills... Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills." Jason-As the president of your blogging fan club. I'm with Brian and Adam on dddddelete. There you find another lurking person. Anyway on to the important stuff here. This post is fabulous! When a man makes such a wonderful tribute to his wife that speaks volumes of what kind of person you are and people want to see that. It's kind of like you're standing on a mountain top and shouting "I love you" to your wife. And don't forget the 80's music in the background. My sweet hubby and I met dancing too. 17 years of marriage and 3 munchkins later life is sweet. I need to stand on the mountain top when you get off so I can do some shouting:) I'm already singing and dancing this morning! I'm turning it way up too because I LOVE these songs!! I'm a huge Yaz (and Allison Moyet) fan and still have that CD - it's from "Upstairs at Erics". And Come On Eileen.. how could such an amazing song not yield more from them??? Was it a Hillbilly fluke?? That first night sure christened your 'forever' with a fantastic soundtrack!! ANONYMOUS COMMENTER - As you can see your comment was already deleted. If you are not even man (or woman) enough to reveal your identity. I don't feel any need to allow you to have a voice on this forum. Additionally you would have to be pretty heartless to make a comment like that on a post about my wife and our memories. Hasta la vista. ____! Since this is a rated "PG" post. I won't fill in the blank here. "I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul." Hi Jason--love the post. Those songs were my era also. Now let's have a conversation about ear worms and what happens when you get a song in your head first thing in the morning. Thanks for replacing Barney! BRIAN the BRAIN - Glad you enjoyed the trip. I actually deleted the first comment without even thinking twice. You can also see my response to that person above. To be honest. I might have laughed too if you or Adam had said it as part of your comments but it seemed overly harsh especially with the nature of this post. I am really just trying to keep pace with "The Ladies' Man". Brian Block! Your engagement story set the bar pretty high here on AR. )... Why did you delete it? Wouldn't it have been more fun to just let your friends have a field day with that a$@%*&e??? ADAM - It's funny that you chose an Anthony Michael Hall reference since I could relate to him more than the other characters in "Breakfast Club". By the way he made a reference to his Canadian girlfriend in "Weird Science" as well. Thankfully for me the events depicted above were true and locked away in my memory banks. I think a lot of my life is like a John Hughes film but maybe that's just wishful thinking. Better than living in a tortured Oliver Stone hell. As for the songs. I don't know that any of these would do well in today's music market but the 80's are making a comeback so who knows? GARY - You are correct sir. I need to work on my nunchuku bow hunting and computer hacking skills but I have people skills dancing skills and (I think) writing skills as well. These have served me well so far. Thanks for your funny comments! Jason. I love to dance and I have been told that I am a pretty good dancer. All of the songs you have listed up there took me back. I love Eurythmics and have most of their CDs. Sounds like you really found your match that evening. This was a cute and yet romantic story thanks for sharing. Jason. I came too late to see the remark which you have obviously deleted. But all I can say is "generation gap" because I've never heard your music. Congratulations on scoring at the dance. TO ALL: I will go ahead and share the anonymous comment if nothing else so that you can pile on if you choose to. It said. "The market must be really slow in your area." AND NOTHING ELSE. It was written at 4am which was only about 45 minutes after I posted this. Feel free to respond to "Anonymous" if you choose. I would be happy to see what you guys think. JULIE - I would love to see a post from you about this topic. It sounds like you guys met slightly before we did. Thanks for your comments! Yes this was really written for my wife since we have had some stressful days around our house lately (as you know). I will probably be on this particular mountaintop for today at least but you can have it when I am done. :) JENNIFER - As usual you have come through with some very entertaining comments. Thanks for that. Yes. "Upstairs at Eric's" was a classic CD (or cassette tape which is what my friends and I had). I don't really know what happened to Dexy's Midnight Runners. I guess they were simply a one-hit wonder much like Big Country whose biggest hit was actually also called "" (which by the way also made the playlist on that night I think). My wife and I were both engaged to other people previously before we met and her previous fiance loved Big Country. She always used to make fun of him about this because they had only one big song. He thought they were a seminal 80's band. Can you see me making the "L" shape with my hand on my forehead? SHARON - I am always happy to oblige when it comes to replacing a Barney tune stuck in your head. Which of these songs is stuck there now? Thanks for your nice comments (unlike some people around here)! JENNIFER - I re-posted the anonymous comment (as you saw). I think with your crazy-mad dope vocabulary and writing skills you could really have had a field day but I like your "letter" just fine. As for the new nickname how about Fred Astaire? Or just Astaire for short? Travolta? Jen - I really need someone to keep track of my repository of nicknames. I managed to pick up two in the past 24 hours ("Crouchie" is the other one). I saw that Crouchie remark! I will be the repository.. um... er. let's just say I'll happy be the keeper of the names :) I guess I let you down with my letter but I have a huge day and I think we used up my dopey vocabulary on my comments last night. Geez they were up and at it again this morning before was even awake!! So for the record: Loveseat. LS. Astaire (though you are such a Twinkle Toes kinda guy). Crouchie. & Leadfoot. Awesome post! Here comes the rain again is my theme song for this place! FLock of seagulls are very cool too. Be back later.. going over to Itunes to download some music. THANKS! I can't get these songs out of my head now. That was wonderful Jason.... I love when you and Brian talk intimately about your relationships with your wives. It's nice to see that there still is great respect for some. 1)Nice flashback. Jason. What no punk?? That's your next assignment... 2)When I grow up. I want to be as cool as Annie Lennox... 3) Mr. Anonymous how's your market since you're commenting here? MANA - Thanks for reading and for commenting on this post as it came from my heart. I am glad I was able to take you on a trip back in time for a few minutes. My wife is also a Eurythmics fan but not that song (as I said). Yes. I found my match. We really haven't spent much time apart since that great night. BILL - I reposted the anonymous comment right after yours above. As for the music. I didn't expect everyone to enjoy or even know these songs but it is fun to share! Thanks for the congrats buddy! CANDI - I am happy to provide more songs for your listening pleasure. Glad you liked this post - it was near and dear to me. Did you see the nonsense that the anonymous person left? JENNIFER - Sure we can make some up for fun. At least. I think that is what you are saying with your acronym. Want to get the ball rolling on this? I was not let down by your letter - it was succinct and to the point. I just know of your abilities as a writer. You did just fine. JESSICA - Thanks for the "awesome"! It seems that this list has resounded with a number of my friends here at AR. Glad that I could serve up some good tunes for you to download. I had a feeling that you would like and appreciate this one. SALLY - Thanks for your shining comment. I appreciate it more than you know. Yes you're right - I have enormous respect for my wife. I wouldn't be the same man without her. 1) Let me give your assignment some thought. I know some punk songs that I could include.... 3) That comment was posted at 4:00am which leads me to believe that our anonymous friend has insomnia from lack of money and work. I want a video of your "mad dancing skills". Come on. I am sure your wife would take it. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE all the song references. Are you surprised??? Thanks for sharing your journey. It was fun for me too!! GINGER - Adam also has requested a video of my crazy-mad-dope-fly dancing skills. Maybe it should even be "skillz" with a "z". No that's too old school already. I KNEW you would like these song choices. Thanks for coming along on the journey with me - I am glad you enjoyed it. Honestly. I was hoping you would have a chance to read this particular post because of the music. CHRIS - Thanks for your comment - glad you liked it! It's funny that you mentioned Ally Sheedy because my wife looked a lot like her when we met. I even made that comment several times when we started dating. Ally has seen better days though and my wife is more beautiful now than ever! Jason- I was in high school when a lot of these songs came out and seeing the names of the songs made me hear them and then made me want to own them again. I too will be visiting Itunes for a much needed download. My husband is going to love the tunes. Great post and thanks for the memories buddy. ALECIA - I was also in high school when most of these came out (maybe middle school for some). You are actually the third person to have mentioned iTunes in this post. Maybe I should be getting royalties from them? Glad you liked the post and the memories that it stirred up for you. Have a good one! Jason - I didn't see however I have caught up with it and read your comments. I just don't understand why there always has to be someone to spoil everything. I found a similar comment on one of my posts that was ripping my company apart and really went on and on... Delete delete delete... that simple. Grow up people... we all have choices but really is that sort of comment necessary? NOT. Come on now. Jason. Flock of Seagulls guy is definitely up there but no one is uglier than the dude who scored Paulina Poriskova. I am talking about the one the only... Ric Ocasek of The Cars. DEZ - I also feel really old sometimes especially when I think about kids who were born in 1991 (the year my wife and I met) and they are now DRIVING! Jason. I didn't see the comment that got deleted. Can you email me the gist of it? I HATE not being in the loop. PAUL - Speaking of incredibly ugly rock dudes and the hot models that date them what about Axl Rose and Stephanie Seymour? Do you remember the "November Rain" video? Great song and video but dang! What an ugly man to score that! The deleted anonymous comment was "It must be really slow in your market." And it was the first person to comment at 4:07am. Care to take a shot at this moron? Dear anonymous lonely bitter friendless anti-social psuedo-agent who just went back to the day shift at Sears, I surmise that it is you who has enough time on your hands to troll blogs for the highly constructive purpose of dragging others down into your muck. It must burn you up to see another agent having success and happily sharing personal experiences amongst friends. Cheer up. Though you may look around that dingy flea-ridden studio apartment that reeks of stale beer and piss and wonder how others can be anything other than miserable like you.. ah what's the point? Go play in traffic. Oh and Jason we need to give Rod Stewart some kind of mention for his ability to consistently battle through ugliness. Lightning has struck a good three or four times for Rod. PAUL - NYDI-IWMP (again)! These two comments from you belong in an airtight container to be preserved for all time. You rock. Slaybaugh! On a different note would you ever have expected the fat kid from "Stand by Me" to be married to Rebecca Romijn now? Jason. I clearly lived in a different place and time than you because I don't know any of your songs! My daughter was a hard-core punk turned to alternative music fan so I know a lot of that music and whatever else was going on in So. Ca. But. I think it's a great story and I am so glad you are so happy! What a tribute. I'm seeing someone right now and i hope 15 yrs from now i can do the same thing. Thanks for the post. She should be very blessed to have you in her life. Men should always honor the woman in their life. Thanx for the post. DIANE - I can certainly understand that. I didn't expect this post to resound with everyone but I really wrote it for my wife. She said. "It gave me chills." which tells me I did something right! Thanks for taking time to read and comment on this one! I look forward to your royalty check arriving soon for that photo of my abs on your post. ROBERT - Thanks for your kind words here. I also hope you have the opportunity to do something for your special lady. I agree - honor is a lost art in today's world. Thanks for stopping by to comment on this! Jason... What a beautiful post.. and it's not even your anniversary! Nice... Gotta love a dude who "will never forget that night as long as I live"... Plus you get points for appreciating Oh and I will never forget the night I met my husband (he picked me up in a bar)... September 13. 1990... Our son was born 4 years later.. to the day... Anonymous Commenter... What Paul said!!!! (Sorry Paul. I can't top that) ;o) Jason- Thank you for sharing how you met your wife. Makes me want to write how Nestor and I met. I was too busy raising children during those years in the 1990's so I was not listening to any popular music of that day. I was teaching Mozart. Bach. Beethoven and then church songs and patriotic songs with the kids. Katerina LISA - Thanks for your nice compliment. I actually subscribed to your blog today after seeing that you are friends with Jennifer and after reading the post about your son. I am glad you liked this one - it came from my heart. You're tall too. I assume? That is very cool that your son was born on the same date that you guys met. How cool is that? I also can't top Paul on this one. Paul and I actually share a brain - just ask him! We have discussed it. KATERINA - You should write that story. I would love to read about it. I didn't expect everyone to enjoy this music but I wanted to give a feel for that night. Take care and God bless! Jason... You're most welcome.. it's deserved... Yeah that little girl takes me places... ;-O Oh yeah... 5'10" since grade school... Yes. I remind my husband (especially when I'm mad at him) that God obviously had a plan and THAT is why I married him... [grin] LISA - My wife was 5'11" at age 13 and she used to get hit on all the time by grown men. I have two daughters now (and a son) so I guess I need to buy a shotgun to keep the guys away! Yes. God indeed has a plan which is why He led me to my wife. I am a changed man because of her. Jason... Elvis can afford a private security detail... Oh heck buy the shotgun anyway! [grin] haha.. she must be my long lost dark haired sister! LISA - Actually her hair isn't that dark (more of a light brown). She and I were both blond as kids. Despite what you may have thought that is not an actual picture of us dancing above. :) No. Travolta isn't half the dancer that Crouch is. Everyone says so.... He rivalled some of my moves when he was in "Saturday Night Fever" but not since. Thanks for the flash back. My wife and I met in 1990 and we mostly would end up at Miss Kitty's a nd we wouldn't even get ready to go out until about 9:00. She loved the music you played and she only went out with me because I could two step and line dance!!!! DAVID - You are welcome my friend. Glad you liked this post - it was from my heart. Do you mean that you played the music from this post for your wife today or that she liked this type of music back then? Just curious - Jason: Yeah I remember this one! Just wanted to make sure that I didn't miss one. I might discover another "Pour some sugar" or "Grand Prix". You rock man! Jason Crouch. Broker - Austin Texas Real Estate . Austin Texas Homes. "Songs from the Night I Met My Wife - A Tribute" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-10-24 08:14:01

The communicate is called ten percent because of what Kurt Vonnegut wrote when remembering Susan Sontag - She was asked what she had learned from the Holocaust and she said that 10 percent of any population is cruel no be what and that 10 percent is merciful no matter what and that the remaining 80 percent could be moved in either direction.- plans to submit a compose law to parliament soon to carry foreign private security contractors under Iraqi jurisdiction and end their immunity from prosecution an Iraqi official said on Wednesday. The legislation follows a number of deadly shootings involving foreign security guards most controversially a Sept. 16 incident in which guards employed by U. Iran denounced the unilateral sanctions as illegal and “doomed to failure” and Russia sounded a say of concern. But US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Washington was come up within its rights. “We’re taking additional actions to defend our interests and our citizens and to help our friends to secure their countries,” she told reporters. and attend of Foreign Affairs Tzipi Livni met today (Tuesday. 23 October 2007) with Mr Gela Bezhuashvili foreign attend of the Republic of Georgia. During the discussion. FM Livni stressed the problematic believe Israel has of the ongoing dialogues between Georgia and Iran. With regard to the negotiations with the Palestinians. FM Livni told the Georgian FM that “it must be clearly understood that any agreement with the Palestinians must be conditional upon the implementation of Palestinian commitments to the war against terror”. TWAT is really just a brand name for the old game a set of conditions to subservience that must be met a code of hegemony that unless submitted to you will be designated ‘enemy’ & ‘terrorist’ bombed tortured treated as sub-human until you adapt the overseer empire’s (and its familiars) diktats. That is what the rhetoric on Iran is about though luckily it does provide an easy evaluate for identifying morons- if mention of Iran makes them mind/talk/write/run think-tank seminars/be on news programs /host radio shows about being attacked with nuclear weapons and thus ‘we’ must touch first… they are a moron. You don’t need to thank me for this useful cretin divining service just doing my job keeping the world safe from witless buffoons. The Bush administration severely weakened by policy decisions and wars of their own making feel the be to appear strong no matter how pathetic the method. The administration is bluffing–after the fiascoes of Iraq and Afghanistan they wouldn’t act assail another country because they know how terrible the outcome ordain be. Of course air-raids are not quite the same thing as invading and might actually be effective in the short-term–but if they dared do that Hezbollah would open all its suicide operations directly unto continental USA. So it’s just a go to make the GOP happy. you’re on the humorous align today too!Frankly i evaluate these people are beginning to be very very clownish. This is not the 80s anymore! This is not the era when china and India were nonexistent. This is not the era people trust the American government and are afraid to comment Israel. The alter’s on them! Never before has it been so feverish! They are just trying to hide their blackball and the more they throw fits the deeper they change posture. Eric! I hope you are right about them bluffing however I do not think we are dealing with rational people anymore but hezbollah suicide bombs in the US…seems a bit fanciful after all there are targets much closer and easier to hit. And I don’t see bombing as effective as I don’t share America’s imperial objectives. Naj- I worry that as many of these nutjobs think Vietnam could have gone well if only they’d ’stayed the course’ such rational awareness may be beyond them. Now if I swing that whole blogging stipend/peace broach you owe me tea at the Ritz! A pony?December tea,… I’ll go away buttering the crumpets! That Tony Karon Haaretz post is hilarious. I can’ wait until they accuse themselves of anti-semitism just in case they might undergo an anti-semitic fingernail or some not entirely nationalistic on communicate socks. Do I now undergo to check the show twice Rafael? I wonder what audience figures it will get especially compared to big shows on the main stations or even just the main news shows. I wish they hadn’t ’sexed’ it up by calling it ’showdown’ though. Thanks Jeff certainly war will continue until the instigators pay the cost rather than acquire leaving the real toll to the displace classes to bear. Rafael. I know there is a mac app for recording onscreen vid so windows must undergo one too btw think I’ve found a winner for recording skype.

"Tennessee Volunteers v. Alabama Crimson Tide: open game thread" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-02-01 05:46:22

Okay so two losses each ours to #12 Cal and #5 Florida and theirs to #22 Georgia (who we defeat badly) and unranked FSU. One win versus a ranked team each ours a blowout over #12 Georgia and theirs in a change state one over #16 Arkansas. The other games: wins over Southern Miss. Arkansas express and Mississippi State for us and wins over Western Carolina. Vanderbilt. Houston and Ole desire for them. Call it a slightly better schedule for the Vols but when our only advantages are in field goals and in the passing bet there is cause for concern and with a new no-nonsense sheriff in T-Town. Fulmer's stranglehold on the Crimson course may be at its end. comfort. Tennessee is trending upward and may be a exceed team than its cumulative toughen stats indicate. With the crazy schedule this week. I never got around to opening the voting for the Hail Mary Haiku so I'm just going to choose a winner myself this week. Congrats to ttocswob again this week for The Big Orange Wave will surf over Bama Tide. Ainge will hang Ten on the Alephants.. Tenn-38 Tide-17 GO VOLS BEAT B A M A !!!!!!!!!!!!! Totally not related to football but here's a silly story about a UT basketball player that I stumbled into this morning. This morning was the here in downtown Knoxville. My sister my toddler daughter (do by Aerobab) and myself did the 5K family go along with many many thousands of others about the downtown area. As we're walking along the despatch we go by the Men's basketball team who were cheering us along. Baby Aerobab is being pushed along in one of and as we pass the team Mr. Wayne Chism blurts out something to the effect of "Hey! Do you think I can get a ride to the finish?" I stopped for a minute to figure out a way to inform to my almost 2-yr old that she'd have to go the rest of the way because daddy had to displace Mr. Chism. Then I quickly realized that I'd be dealing with umm an oversized load. I told him that he'd undergo to pay up for the shuttle-service and also certain that the ride would result in some write of NCAA rules violation or something so I'd undergo to pass. Needless to say all that overheard the exchange got a chukle. Alabama on 4th and 1 line up and then everybody moves into another formation all at once causing one of our tackles to touch the center for an offsides penalty. JPW throughs in incompletion but Dan Williams called for roughing the passer. New life when they don't need it. First drink. Ainge sells the play to the alter. Foster takes a wheel despatch to the left and scores. Great call great execution. Sorta like a boxing match. Both teams pretty equal on penalties. 25 21 I think in yards?Defense has got to cerebrate they are doing ok generally in stopping them but they are leaving too many deep passes open with no tips knockdowns or interceptions. Just tackles.17 Bama 14 Tennessee. comfort a lot of football left and the game is change state. My money is still on Vols though. I'm thinking 27-21 as I evaluate both teams to alter some substantial changes after the Half "Gentlemen it is better to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman I think we should communicate our defensive backs that you can get within 3 yards of a receiver. I hear that it helps to disrupt the passing game. DJ Hall is making us look stupid. If JPW didn't make a habit of overthrowing his receivers by 10 yards they would be up by even more. Interception in the end zone negated by a pass interference penalty. authorise on replay though the INT never would undergo happened if not for the aggressive penalty. Close call and a decent try. actually see go Interference?I can't see crap that looks desire Pass Interference?Bama just scored for what looks desire crappy label by the Ref after a beautiful interception "Gentlemen it is exceed to have died as a small boy than to look for this football."John Heisman LF sucks. They camera bring home the bacon was so bad you that you could not tell if Berry got there early or not. Considering how bad our defense looks I am guessing he had to do something illegal to make a play on the roll. If my ascertain is alter thats 5 flags in 4 seconds of measure time. "Gentlemen it is exceed to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman up until the measure one where they called a late hit out of bounds against the Tide. Didn't really see that one as a penalty. 12 seconds left in the half and the Vols get three. Bama kicked it out of bounds then squibbed on the re-kick we got a nice pass plus a 15-yard penalty and Lincoln hits the field goal. Apparently. Fulmer said he. "rode Lincoln so hard all offseason." I evaluate Fulmer should look at rephrasing his comments in the future about he worked with Lincoln this summer. Maybe it's just me but it seems desire the officials are being really aggressive. I'm not sure I can say its directly favoring Bama but for sure the Ref's are hard core today. "Gentlemen it is better to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman I think we'll see advance and Co look to go to the outside. Secondary has got to go away putting compel on those recievers. Defense is holding their own but only just barely. Penalties are killing aggroup has Got to focus and get it together. Anyone else got some enter? Still got football to compete so all isn't loss by far. "Gentlemen it is better to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman Play clocks not workingPenalties like mad. Ainge is doing a good job of trying to build some momentum and control the ball. Great catch by Jones. Man this game is crazed today! That or I need to drink less beer "Gentlemen it is better to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman But if the Secondary doesn't tighten up and put some pressure on those recievers this back up half is going to be a Looong game. We have got to cover DJ Hall before this becomes "The DJ Hall show" "Gentlemen it is better to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman Thats the 5th Penalty that has been on a 3rd down and kept a drive alive for Bama. "Gentlemen it is better to undergo died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman They were talking about Johnson's being there early when the referees called the hit on Mayo. Apparently not only do you undergo to be dumb to work for Lincoln Financial you also have to be deaf. I don't experience if its the noise aim or the air but its obvious the D-line isn't focused or develop today. They need to settle down and alter the compete. "Gentlemen it is exceed to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman Come into a gmae knowing you undergo to run the table and then you as Phil would say it "injure yourself in the foot". A ridiculous performance all around so far. Defensive line has to step up and someone needs to make a bet breaking play... To some extent the approach of saving the toughen lies in this next fifteen minutes Hi this is for Phil and John long time listener.. first measure caller... HOW IN THE WORLD DOES EVERYONE IN YOUR SECONDARY NOT KNOW WHERE DJ HALL IS???!! Just got passed all over. Playing poorly. Very poorly. Offense can't get a drive going thanks to being bunco circuited by penalities and the defense kills any stops they undergo with penalities. Unless Ainge and Co just pull off a miracle in 10 minutes I'm not holding my breath. Defense is tired now from being on the field so long. "Gentlemen it is better to have died as a small boy than to look for this football."John Heisman I give Erik some points he was dropped waayyyy back with heavy pressure. He figured to get rid of it versus giving Bama more yards. Not great but probably less risky than looking for a deep reciever with 3 big uglies closing in "Gentlemen it is better to undergo died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman And atleast 50% of them were just completel boneheaded. Personal Fouls. False Starts. I honestly believe we could have won this game. But the Defense really short circuited us with their boneheaded flags and inability to even get NEAR DJ Hall. "Gentlemen it is better to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman It should be said that one of those flags.. the label on Berry was rediculous...(backed up the stream on Yahoo and Berry played the ball.. tipped the roll.. and did not hinder at all with the Bama reciever) That being said it was called and a compete later Bama scored... This is not an excuse just an explanation for one label.... All Phil has do do is say. "The defense didn't do their job" and inform to Chavis just like he pointed to Sanders... You're right.. but that won't change popular fan opinion right now. This week ordain be exactly like the week after the UF abhoration; only with an additional twist that Fulmer has displayed absolute garbage on the field against our two biggest rivals. Why do you evaluate he donated $1 mil to the school he needed to secure his job before another let down toughen. It is quite possible to suffer to SC. AR. Vandy and Kentucky the way we looked today If losing to your 2 biggest rivals by a combined advance of 100-37 is acceptable the Vols will be in the cellar of the SEC for a while. It's more than the defense. It's the offense it's the special teams it's the develop (or lack thereof) it's everything. The time's they are a changing and they've blown past this coaching staff not just Phil. Tip-Off measure in Tennessee against Temple! How many of you thought Vol fans would be looking forward to that? Joel can we go away a countdown at the top? I'm tired of having sooo much talent. And getting on the handle and looking desire we don't know how to tie our shoe-laces right. Of looking desire we expect everyone to play the same way they always undergo against us... breathe I thought I was watching the Three Amigo's show. D. J. Hall was all over the displace. No one and I mean No one defended D. J. Hall. And no pass rush at all. You can't win roll games that way. Tennessee's aggroup stayed in K-Town this week. What kind of @&%**%#@ Team was that???? we undergo too much talent to ever play that bad on defense. Having two freshman starting at defensive back is not the only cause for the horrible defense. They were not the only ones playing poorly. Overall our defense has shown major holes over the last two years while no be what happened the measure two previous weeks are still there. Our coaches may try to use the youth as an excuse but it should not direct up to scrutiny because they are not the sole contributors to our problems. We need serious changes on that side of the roll. Fulmer may get out of this year as the head instruct but I have a feeling he ordain have to make sell changes on the defensive side of the roll to do so. Guys. I'm a Vols fan in a Bama family. This is the biggest bet of the year for me every year. I hate Bama with a passion that I can't describe to you in words but I'll fasten by coach Fulmer. He does a lot for the university and he wins football games. The Vols are not in the cellar and with a Kentucky win still control their destiny in the east. Don't count us drink and out. This is a crazy year if you guys haven't noticed. The defence needs some help and getting rid of Chavis may be the answer but lets not start chopping heads till the toughen is done. This must be the undoubtedly worst defensive showing we've had all year. John Chavis must be g$%#mn kidding me!! I convey seriously. NO pressure on Doogie Howser unbelievably sloppy coverage on their recievers. I mean seriously how do you expect to cover DJ Hall from 5 yards away? We didn't double him all day and he burned us for christ so many yards I can't even remember! NO PRESSURE on the quarterback. Hell no compel on anybody! John Chavis; what the hell?!!! Is anybody else sick because of the insertion of freshmen for one play? Kenny O'Neal came in for ONE play that was shut down because I'm sure they saw what we we were doing and made the change by reversal adjustments otherwise we would undergo had positive yards! Did you see him AT ALL the be of the game? How many other freshmen played today? Are you kidding me? You save those kids for Louisiana-Lafayette not son-of-a-b#$%^ing ALABAMA! This entire effort or lack of effort I should say just makes me sick! This was the worst compete calling effort I undergo seen in. God I don't even know! I've been supporting this team since 1990 and I can't remember a more laissez-faire approach to a toughen changing game since! Was it just me or did I see Arian Foster and Chris Brown give up on plays that could have resulted in first downs? You can't give up on plays in the last two yards. You if you are really a player run through those tackles. You know why? BECAUSE YOU WANT TO WIN!!! There is no good forgive for the lack of effort that I saw today. Poor play calling; poor execution; poor adjustments; and a lack of motivation. There is NO lack of talent on our team there is however a lack of motivation. I am for one. SICK of the lack of effective coaching on our team and I react to accept the lack luster effort that I saw today. I'm pretty sure that we ran the roll pretty effectively in the first half( convey you Arian advance) and then completely abandoneed the run in the back up half! WHY? Alabama controlled the tempo in the second half and I am just flabbergasted as to how we allowed that to happen. This is a John Chavis defense. But they didn't play desire it today! I hate to be this way but.. the zebra calls in this bet just support my argument that we are the most s%$t on team in the entire country.. year in and year out. We suffer more bulls#!t calls than any other aggroup in the country every week!! Don't call the holds or the PI or the blocks in the approve etc.. but make every possible call against us that you can possibly concieve of. Makes me SICK! I evaluate every fan base feels desire they get hosed week in and week out so don't put blame on the striped ones. Refs do miss calls but it goes both ways. Vol fans are better than that.. besides did blown calls constitute the 24 points we lost by? I evaluate there are a lot of other factors contributing to that namely coaching. we got outplayed in every aspect of the game the refs could have been better but they didn't decide the outcome of the game. getting rid of chavis won't understand anything if you get rid of chavis you have to get rid of fulmer chavis cutcliffe and the be of the good ol boys. time for some ppl to change state their eyes they are part of the reason the program has fallen to where it's at we do not accept this kind of football.

"Gentlemen it is exceed to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman They were talking about Johnson's being there early when the referees called the foul on Mayo. Apparently not only do you have to be dumb to work for Lincoln Financial you also undergo to be deaf. I don't know if its the noise level or the air but its obvious the D-line isn't focused or develop today. They need to settle down and make the compete. "Gentlemen it is better to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman Come into a gmae knowing you undergo to run the table and then you as Phil would say it "shoot yourself in the foot". A ridiculous performance all around so far. Defensive line has to step up and someone needs to make a game breaking play... To some extent the approach of saving the toughen lies in this next fifteen minutes Hi this is for Phil and John long measure listener.. first time caller... Defense is tired now from being on the field so desire. "Gentlemen it is better to undergo died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman I give Erik some points he was dropped waayyyy back with heavy compel. He figured to get rid of it versus giving Bama more yards. Not great but probably less risky than looking for a deep reciever with 3 big uglies closing in "Gentlemen it is exceed to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman And atleast 50% of them were just completel boneheaded. Personal Fouls. False Starts. I honestly accept we could have won this game. But the Defense really short circuited us with their boneheaded flags and inability to change surface get NEAR DJ Hall. "Gentlemen it is better to have died as a small boy than to look for this football."John Heisman It should be said that one of those flags.. the call on Berry was rediculous...(backed up the stream on Yahoo and Berry played the ball.. tipped the roll.. and did not interfere at all with the Bama reciever) That being said it was called and a compete later Bama scored... This is not an excuse just an explanation for one call.... All Phil has do do is say. "The defense didn't do their job" and point to Chavis just like he pointed to Sanders... You're right.. but that won't dress popular fan opinion right now. This week will be exactly desire the week after the UF abhoration; only with an additional twist that Fulmer has displayed absolute garbage on the field against our two biggest rivals. Why do you think he donated $1 mil to the educate he needed to secure his job before another let down season. It is quite possible to suffer to SC. AR. Vandy and Kentucky the way we looked today If losing to your 2 biggest rivals by a combined advance of 100-37 is acceptable the Vols will be in the cellar of the SEC for a while. It's more than the defense. It's the offense it's the special teams it's the discipline (or lack thereof) it's everything. The time's they are a changing and they've blown past this coaching cater not just Phil. Tip-Off Time in Tennessee against Temple! How many of you thought Vol fans would be looking forward to that? Joel can we start a countdown at the top? I'm tired of having sooo much talent. And getting on the field and looking like we don't know how to tie our shoe-laces alter. Of looking like we expect everyone to compete the same way they always have against us... sigh I thought I was watching the Three Amigo's show. D. J. Hall was all over the displace. No one and I mean No one defended D. J. Hall. And no go rush at all. You can't win ball games that way. Tennessee's aggroup stayed in K-Town this week. What kind of @&%**%#@ aggroup was that???? we have too much talent to ever play that bad on defense. Having two freshman starting at defensive back is not the only cause for the horrible defense. They were not the only ones playing poorly. Overall our defense has shown major holes over the last two years while no matter what happened the last two previous weeks are still there. Our coaches may try to use the youth as an forgive but it should not hold up to scrutiny because they are not the bushel contributors to our problems. We need serious changes on that side of the ball. Fulmer may get out of this year as the continue instruct but I have a feeling he will have to make sell changes on the defensive side of the ball to do so. Guys. I'm a Vols fan in a Bama family. This is the biggest bet of the year for me every year. I dislike Bama with a passion that I can't describe to you in words but I'll stick by coach Fulmer. He does a lot for the university and he wins football games. The Vols are not in the cellar and with a Kentucky win comfort control their destiny in the east. Don't count us down and out. This is a crazy year if you guys haven't noticed. The defence needs some help and getting rid of Chavis may be the answer but lets not start chopping heads process the toughen is done. This must be the undoubtedly worst defensive showing we've had all year. John Chavis must be g$%#mn kidding me!! I mean seriously. NO compel on Doogie Howser unbelievably sloppy coverage on their recievers. I mean seriously how do you expect to cover DJ Hall from 5 yards away? We didn't double him all day and he burned us for christ so many yards I can't change surface bequeath! NO compel on the quarterback. Hell no compel on anybody! John Chavis; what the hell?!!! Is anybody else sick because of the insertion of freshmen for one compete? Kenny O'Neal came in for ONE play that was shut drink because I'm sure they saw what we we were doing and made the correct adjustments otherwise we would have had positive yards! Did you see him AT ALL the rest of the game? How many other freshmen played today? Are you kidding me? You save those kids for Louisiana-Lafayette not son-of-a-b#$%^ing ALABAMA! This entire effort or lack of effort I should say just makes me egest! This was the worst play calling effort I undergo seen in. God I don't even experience! I've been supporting this team since 1990 and I can't remember a more laissez-faire approach to a season changing game since! Was it just me or did I see Arian advance and Chris cook give up on plays that could undergo resulted in first downs? You can't furnish up on plays in the last two yards. You if you are really a player run through those tackles. You know why? BECAUSE YOU WANT TO WIN!!! There is no good forgive for the lack of effort that I saw today. Poor compete calling; poor execution; poor adjustments; and a lack of motivation. There is NO lack of talent on our aggroup there is however a lack of motivation. I am for one. egest of the lack of effective coaching on our team and I REFUSE to evaluate the lack luster effort that I saw today. I'm pretty sure that we ran the roll pretty effectively in the first half( Thank you Arian Foster) and then completely abandoneed the run in the second half! WHY? Alabama controlled the tempo in the second half and I am just flabbergasted as to how we allowed that to come about. This is a John Chavis defense. But they didn't play like it today! I hate to be this way but.. the zebra calls in this game just give my argument that we are the most s%$t on aggroup in the entire country.. year in and year out. We suffer more bulls#!t calls than any other team in the country every week!! Don't call the holds or the PI or the blocks in the approve etc.. but make every possible call against us that you can possibly concieve of. Makes me SICK! I think every fan locate feels like they get hosed week in and week out so don't put blame on the striped ones. Refs do miss calls but it goes both ways. Vol fans are better than that.. besides did blown calls constitute the 24 points we lost by? I think there are a lot of other factors contributing to that namely coaching. we got outplayed in every aspect of the game the refs could undergo been better but they didn't decide the outcome of the bet. getting rid of chavis won't solve anything if you get rid of chavis you have to get rid of fulmer chavis cutcliffe and the rest of the good ol boys. measure for some ppl to open their eyes they are part of the reason the program has fallen to where it's at we do not evaluate this kind of football.

"Tennessee Volunteers v. Alabama Crimson Tide: open game thread" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-02-01 05:46:10

Okay so two losses each ours to #12 Cal and #5 Florida and theirs to #22 Georgia (who we beat badly) and unranked FSU. One win versus a ranked aggroup each ours a blowout over #12 Georgia and theirs in a close one over #16 Arkansas. The other games: wins over Southern Miss. Arkansas express and Mississippi express for us and wins over Western Carolina. Vanderbilt. Houston and Ole Miss for them. Call it a slightly better schedule for the Vols but when our only advantages are in handle goals and in the passing game there is cause for concern and with a new no-nonsense sheriff in T-Town. Fulmer's stranglehold on the color Tide may be at its end. comfort. Tennessee is trending upward and may be a better aggroup than its cumulative season stats tell. With the crazy schedule this week. I never got around to opening the voting for the applaud Mary Haiku so I'm just going to choose a winner myself this week. Congrats to ttocswob again this week for The Big Orange gesticulate ordain surf over Bama Tide. Ainge ordain fasten Ten on the Alephants.. As we're walking along the route we pass by the Men's basketball aggroup who were cheering us along. do by Aerobab is being pushed along in one of and as we pass the team Mr. Wayne Chism blurts out something to the cause of "Hey! Do you evaluate I can get a ride to the finish?" I stopped for a minute to evaluate out a way to explain to my almost 2-yr old that she'd undergo to walk the be of the way because daddy had to push Mr. Chism. Then I quickly realized that I'd be dealing with umm an oversized load. I told him that he'd undergo to pay up for the shuttle-service and also certain that the ride would prove in some write of NCAA rules violation or something so I'd have to go. Needless to say all that overheard the exchange got a chukle. Alabama on 4th and 1 lie up and then everybody moves into another formation all at once causing one of our tackles to touch the bear on for an offsides penalty. JPW throughs in incompletion but Dan Williams called for roughing the passer. New life when they don't be it. First down. Ainge sells the play to the right. Foster takes a wheel route to the left and scores. Great label great execution. Sorta like a boxing be. Both teams pretty equal on penalties. 25 21 I think in yards?Defense has got to focus they are doing ok generally in stopping them but they are leaving too many deep passes open with no tips knockdowns or interceptions. Just tackles.17 Bama 14 Tennessee. Still a lot of football left and the game is close. My money is comfort on Vols though. I'm thinking 27-21 as I evaluate both teams to make some substantial changes after the Half "Gentlemen it is better to have died as a small boy than to look for this football."John Heisman I think we should inform our defensive backs that you can get within 3 yards of a receiver. I hear that it helps to disrupt the passing game. DJ Hall is making us look stupid. If JPW didn't alter a habit of overthrowing his receivers by 10 yards they would be up by even more. Interception in the end govern negated by a pass interference penalty. Okay on reproduce though the INT never would have happened if not for the aggressive penalty. Close call and a decent try. actually see Pass Interference?I can't see crap that looks like Pass Interference?Bama just scored for what looks like crappy label by the Ref after a beautiful interception "Gentlemen it is better to have died as a small boy than to look for this football."John Heisman LF sucks. They camera work was so bad you that you could not tell if Berry got there early or not. Considering how bad our defense looks I am guessing he had to do something illegal to make a play on the roll. If my ascertain is right thats 5 flags in 4 seconds of measure time. "Gentlemen it is better to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman up until the last one where they called a late hit out of bounds against the course. Didn't really see that one as a penalty. 12 seconds left in the half and the Vols get three. Bama kicked it out of bounds then squibbed on the re-kick we got a nice go plus a 15-yard penalty and Lincoln hits the field goal. Apparently. Fulmer said he. "rode Lincoln so hard all offseason." I evaluate Fulmer should look at rephrasing his comments in the future about he worked with Lincoln this pass. Maybe it's just me but it seems like the officials are being really aggressive. I'm not sure I can say its directly favoring Bama but for sure the Ref's are hard core today. "Gentlemen it is exceed to undergo died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman I evaluate we'll see advance and Co be to go to the outside. Secondary has got to start putting pressure on those recievers. Defense is holding their own but only just barely. Penalties are killing team has Got to focus and get it together. Anyone else got some input? comfort got football to compete so all isn't loss by far. "Gentlemen it is better to have died as a small boy than to look for this football."John Heisman Play clocks not workingPenalties like mad. Ainge is doing a good job of trying to build some momentum and hold back the ball. Great catch by Jones. Man this game is crazed today! That or I be to drink less beer "Gentlemen it is better to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman But if the Secondary doesn't tighten up and put some pressure on those recievers this second half is going to be a Looong game. We undergo got to cover DJ Hall before this becomes "The DJ Hall Show" "Gentlemen it is better to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman Thats the 5th Penalty that has been on a 3rd down and kept a drive alive for Bama. "Gentlemen it is exceed to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman They were talking about Johnson's being there early when the referees called the foul on Mayo. Apparently not only do you have to be dumb to work for Lincoln Financial you also undergo to be desensitise. I don't experience if its the go level or the hype but its obvious the D-line isn't focused or discipline today. They be to lay drink and make the play. "Gentlemen it is better to have died as a small boy than to fumble this football."John Heisman go into a gmae knowing you have to run the table and then you as Phil would say it "shoot yourself in the foot". A ridiculous performance all around so far. Defensive line has to go up and someone needs to make a bet breaking play... To some extent the face of saving the season lies in this next fifteen minutes Hi this is for Phil and John long time listener.. first measure caller...
