The 228 Memorial Museum has been open since 1997 and we have visited several times over the years. The exhibits are unchanged but this time what really struck me was that some of the signage is now multilingual. Only Mandarin. Japanese and English but still for international visitors it's a great improvement. There is also an upgraded audio journey in English (and other languages obviously but I forgot to ask which ones). The audio guide is free but you have to leave photo ID at the information desk to borrow it. It is interactive--to initiate the audio you hold the device against a marked audio tour displace.

It’s quite simple: we don’t just get our information through TV and radio anymore. We now have this thing called “the internet,” not to mention video content through mobile devices. The New York City and Beverly Hills locations of the museum will also become a place where people in the media can hold seminars and discussions. These public events will also be made available through the museum’s site not to mention portals such as Yahoo and Comcast. In the meantime. I recommend searching Google Video for ” Museum of Television and Radio.” There are a ton of great (and lengthy) interviews to be found there.

The is hosting an exhibit of artifacts vintage television cameras and TV sets film and tape to celebrate WMAR's 60th year. (First a little background from the official WMAR website: In 1997 celebrated 50 years of broadcast excellence. It is Maryland's first commercial television station and the 11th in the nation.
