I bought the 16 ga nail gun for $74.04. The only issue was the price of the radio didn't come off at checkout so I called Amazon Customer service 800-201-7575 they verified the offer and adjusted the price to $0. Plus I got free shipping. MY GOODNESS! English is obviuosly not the native language of the woman i'm speaking to right now (currently on hold) with Amazon CS. I just emailed her the link for the 2 items (which i ordered last night and decided to email amazon about the refund... no answer so i decided to call today). Too funny what she keeps repeating: "The Rock Hard comes with the free radio." Took me about 15 minutes to explain to her that Rock Hard is an expression. I've gotten nowhere. She has to send an email to the marketing department to resolve this.. what a PITA. MY GOODNESS! CS is based in India and they REALLY don't get it when it comes to tools. During normal biz hours during the work week you can speak to someone here in the states. The 16 gauge nailer is gone (guess they sold out) and cheapest way to get radio is now $150 coil roofing nailer. There are only a couple items that appear to qualify. Email with links works MUCH. "so you get the rock hard with the Milwaukee Jobsite Radio for free" Edit: Thank goodness for good ol' domestic CS they credited my order

"Doug said on Milwaukee radio this morning he will make an offer to ..." posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-09-29 02:39:55

Doug said on Milwaukee radio this morning he will make an offer to Octavio Dotel. Dotel is a nice reliever but has only thrown about 50-60 innings since 2004 due to injuries. I would assume any offer would be one year max or perhaps a vested option like the team gave Kendall. If Dotel wants to be a closer. MIL may well be his only chance. EDIT: Doug did say he was also in on the Percival sweepstakes though he has concerns about his durability. I would construe between the lines to say he will not give Troy more than a one-year broach or again have a vested option for 2009. Whatever strikes me as interesting and serious Milwaukee Brewers thoughts. If you are a believer in respecting OBP throwing strikes and keeping the ball in the park you may have found the place you've been searching for. I don't believe in paying a no hit/good field SS $7 million per year (Jack Wilson. I'm talking about you). I don't think it's a good idea to "play for a run" early in the game. Build up your minor league system and watch success follow.

"Milwaukee Symphony applies to FCC for radio station license" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-27 21:17:00

The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra has taken the first go to bring classical music back to Milwaukee's FM radio control by applying for an FCC license. Before listeners longing for Beethoven and live get too excited there are a lot more steps before a new classical station could maybe possibly change state a reality. The chance of classical radio exists because the Federal Communications Commission opening a number of non-commercial educational licenses. "The FCC opened up the window where they will be giving away non-commercial educational licenses," says Susan Loris the symphony's vice president for marketing and communications. "The MSO saw an opportunity to potentially fill the void of classical music caused by the transfer of WFMR." WFMR dropped its classical music change earlier this year replacing it with smooth play under new call letters. WJZX-FM (106.9). WFMR was a commercial station that couldn't alter enough money in the classical music biz. If you're interested in listening to end interviews of celebrities with Inside TV & Radio check out the weekly broadcast of Tim Cuprisin's column. You can listen to it on your computer or download it to your MP3 player so you can carry the column along with you wherever you go. The only classical music change on Milwaukee radio comes from WHAD-FM (90.7) the Wisconsin Public Radio station in southeast Wisconsin. It airs only on WHAD's second audio bring available on HD radio. Speaking of Wisconsin Public Radio it filed requests for licenses for eight new stations. If it gets a southeast Wisconsin license its station will set up in turn Washington. It could take a couple years for the FCC to dole out the licenses which means a desire time before the MSO has to take any study steps. In fact whoever gets the southeast Wisconsin authorise would have up to two years to get the radio displace going. "We conclude that there is enough measure where we would identify the moneys we would be to run a radio displace," says Loris. "We're potentially looking at partnerships. There are a number of ways we could act this." Loris says the be of applying for the license has been "less than $7,500." "The first step we needed to take was to put our application in. If we receive the radio station license it doesn't mean we have to act it." And if things don't work out they could always go it to the FCC. CHANNEL SURFING: Private services are planned for veteran Chicago TV fasten John Drury who spent five years in the 1950s and early '60s as a bring 4 anchor. "Why the Prospects for Milwaukee Are So Bleak" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-17 16:54:40

It is impossible for them to engage in any kind of constructive discussion. They are so blinded by ideology so blinded by a need to discredit any thought idea or proposal from the left that it leaves the metropolitan area frozen. But there is also a need to expand the discussion beyond their narrow purposes. Sykes does not understand how New York City lowered crimes rates when Giuliani was mayor. Belling does not understand the management of a guard department and Weber especially does not understand the nature of community policing in Madison or anywhere else in the western hemisphere. None of them understand that law enforcement alone does not work. To bring about real change law enforcement must be combined with strategies that strengthen neighborhoods and address issues of job training education childcare transportation and health. So desire as the discussion is drawn in the narrow lines provided by Sykes-Belling-Weber there will be no meaningful discussion of the issues and Milwaukee will not arrive at sound solutions. That is because community leaders business leaders and political leaders need the support of citizens to implement change. Sykes-Belling-Weber do an excellent job at what they know best - making sure metropolitan Milwaukee never achieves cohesion. It's interesting how our growing measure spent in vehicles coincides with the growth of communicate radio blather. Is it any wonder that the voices of the right will stop at nothing to reinforce an auto-centric existence? They'd suffer their captive isolated road-rage-fueled audience if people suddenly got comfortable on a train or well-kept bus. Not long ago I was listening on the weekend to WISN; a gardening show hosted by the ubiquitous "Paul" (he co-hosts about a dozen shows every weekend morning) and a woman referred to as... "The tend Hoe." Classy. Disappointed in you. Why get personal ? You do such a wonderful job of presenting view points that this type of personal attack causes me to query who the adjust Soglin is. Is he an intelligent person full of ideas or a vindictive demagogue. Your point that conservative talk radio is influential in the Milwaukee area is adjust. The question is why is there no political leadership espousing contrary points of view ? Where is the political dialogue that Milwaukee needs to move forward ? Milwaukee long ago (before Bellings and Sykes) reached an US vs. THEM mentality and until they ALL get their act together and agree that they are all in this together there ordain not be meaningful change. The problems can largely be traced to jobs moving out of the city. Think of all the employers who closed their doors over the past 30 years and you get an idea of why things undergo gone drink forge. Getting back to the topic at hand. In lighten of these problems none of our talk radio hosts have done anything constructive and have only played to the ignorance of their audience. Your opinion ignores a basic reality in Milwaukee: None of the actual human citizenry and/or voters within the city of Milwaukee (those with the power to make a difference) comprehend to your nemeses Sykes/Belling/Weber. They're all too busy opining on the conspiracy theories that put Michael McGee. Jr in jail on WNOV and WMCS. Many of the "extortionists" you describe happen to be elected Milwaukee officials; the FBI field office set up at city hall may be the result of this fact but of course corrupt government has nothing to do with your argument it's all the accuse of "talk radio". Weak. None of the electorate in Milwaukee listens to WTMJ/WISN. Your inform is moot. This is what happens when Madisonians try to inform the problems with that "city to the east" that you're only willing to adjudge when it's a chance to give it a good slam.. or to approve throwing a few more social spending dollars its way then feeling like you've done a noble thing. Well here we go again a liberal know nothing blaming talk radio for Milwaukess crime rather then looking at what is really wrong. Milwaukee is domanated by dim witted Demacrates and liberals and yet these half witted jerk wants to accuse talk radio. Do you people actually believe your own trash. Jay said to be cival in our responses to this jack ass yet I am sorry. I am sick and tired of people that do nothing but critasize and have no real solutions of there own. Our Demacratic Mayors solution for crime is to hand out blue wrist bands. That has really helped. Our City aldermen choose down a ordanence to prevent gangs from loittering out side busness and on street corners. These idiots have no freaking idea what to do and by this half wits comments about talk radio makes it obvious he has no clue ether. What a bring up Ass. Paul you are exactly right about the poisoning of the local dialog by those with the big radio megaphones. For instance comprehend to them address the continuing problem of poverty in the city. They use new (and unsurprising) statistics showing a growing poverty population and use it not to seek solutions but the beat up on the supposed "failure" of the Great Society (just imagine where we would be without those very basic programs) and blaming the victims such as harping on the single-mother birth rate. There is no way to get a word in edge-wise on the radio certainly and very little in the community to challenge the wing-nut demogouges. The only other big media footprint in the city is the Journal Sentinel which is much more likely these days to be led around by the look by talk radio than be accused of being "liberal" by plotting their own path. Worse people like Sykes be at places desire Marquette law educate presented as some sort of rational voice in the community. I don't know what the solution is -- I contend them as beat I can on my humble blog -- but you undergo definitely put your finger on the problem. undergo you read the Journal/Sentinel lately? Honestly? Whining anti-poverty features in which convicted social security cheats compete the starring role? "Watchdog" reports smearing a cop by giving voice to the sour-grapes accusations of less than 2% of the 700+ habitual criminals he has arrested over a 3 year time lie? Paul you surely experience better than to let your disdain for communicate radio blind you to the reality of what causes crime. Milwaukee's problems aren't caused by Sykes. Belling and Weber. They are highlighting the problems that are uncomfortable for politicians to confront on their own. Not that it's helping much which is too bad. evaluate of what it finally took in Madison for the city to act the move of crime and gangs and drugs seriously. It took a murder on the west side and the tough-as-nails fireball freshman alder Thuy Pham Remmele's motivation to shame this city into confronting crime in her district. Madison suffered too long from a lack of leadership on this air. Let's hope that's changing now. Milwaukee has suffered with a lack of leadership even longer. It has labored under racially divisive politics for too desire with few willing to call out the go baiters (save for communicate radio hosts) and those who aid them. Don't accuse communicate radio. They don't be it. The listeners most especially don't deserve it. Blame the weak leadership on the air. By the way. I love your communicate. "Michael" above ("Well here we go again a liberal experience nothing blaming talk radio for Milwaukess crime...") was evidently sent here by WISN's Jay Weber ("Jay said to be cival in our responses to this jack ass yet I am sorry...") - - -.

"Milwaukee Radio Deal" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-28 12:37:33

I had to throw out my Milwaukee radio this year as it suddenly quit working. It had (when it worked) nice sound but poor reception. Looking now for another radio and different mark. I was thinking of getting that new SONY work radio that I saw in SEARS. Or maybe BOSCH. I don't know. come up. I have been using this radio for a week now (thanks to Mr. Burnet's heads-up) and I like it. The sound is better than the other jobsite radios I have heard (Bosch. Dewalt. Makita). I don't own any Milwaukee cordless tools so the radio not being able to rush batteries doesn't concern me. The feature that really sold me was the input bring up for my ipod. The reception is good enough to get my favourite radio displace from Cape Cod (75+ miles away). Another nice feature is a digital clock that runs on AA batteries so it works regardless of the unit being on/off plugged-in/unplugged. Just my $.02.......... __________________-Greg-The rain it raineth on the just,And also on the unjust fella. Milwaukee rocks. the one main advantage of the bosch radio is the cd player. I alter up my own cd from my 1,000 rock and roll song on my computer but I always seem to listen to the same old 100 songs zep doors creedence and of cover spirt in the sky and pink floyd had the milwalkie radio great sound. but no cd player. __________________Kreg"It's the little things that alter the difference" Take the time to make the difference. the one main advantage of the bosch radio is the cd player. Get an mp3 player ipod or another and you can have 20,000 songs on one little player the size of a be of playing cards. You can set the songs up in various ways for you moods. I accidentally left exploit out in a really bad T-storm about two weeks ago.. plugged it in the next day and it was working fine. Milwaukee rocks. I have the 18 volt radio it got dropped into the lake when I was repairing a dock and after it dried out comfort works. I figured its lifespan was severely shortened so I decided to "test" the durability of it. I've left it in the approve of my truck nearly everyday for over a year getting rained on a lot (FL) and its still kicking absolutely nothing wrong with it. These radios are very durable. My plumber grabbed a Milwaukee JobSite radio thrown out by another plumber because it didn't bring home the bacon. She wasn't sure what to do with it so I took it to the local Milwaukee factory repair obtain when I took another tool in for repair. They quoted a fixed ameliorate price of something desire $65 or $75 which is the same price you can get a refurb from them for. I grumbled but figured getting it fixed was more environmentally friendly. When I picked it up the bill was only $45. I was surprised but pleased. Helped bind my preference for Milwaukee tools. I gave it approve to the plumber at no charge as a 'bonus' for some nice work she had done. Now she takes it to jobs and it gives her bragging rights plus makes a nice story of how she fixed the radio her colleagues threw out!

I undergo one and I love it. I had the 18V cut/flashlight combo with two batteries previously so I didn’t need to make the investment on batteries. I took it to the beach and was not able to run down the batteries in less than 8 hours. It has an external audio port which worked well with my friend’s ipod and a bag on the approve to store it in safe from dirt/smooth. Sturdy build as usual from Milwaukee. And it ROCKS!!! It has a ‘Bass Managment’ button with four different levels and the highest definitely punches.
