Shoe Shop in Crystal Falls as shown above... AND.. this aerial photographer has 334 photos mostly of the U. P. like Crystal Falls many of the Keweenaw in 21 pages on Pasty com. This link is to page 2.. there is an aerial photo of Crystal Falls. Most or all of his photos can be enlarged twice to really zoom in. I read that Obama does not participate when people are saying the Pledge of Allegiance.. is this so? He is "a member of the Church of Christ" .. yet chose to use the Koran instead of the Bible when he was sworn into public office. I might forgive that but not about the IT IS THE FAULT OF THE USA CITIZENS WHO HAVE INCREASINGLY VOTED WITH THEIR WALLETS.. ie.. people have been buying foreign-made products which often are cheaper. These products are cheaper because of cheaper labor... AND... ALSO OFTEN DO NOT ADHERE TO THE SAME TESTING & STANDARDS AS AMERICAN PRODUCTS. WE MUST TAKE IT UPON OURSELVES TO BUY AMERICAN-MADE PRODUCTS.. as much as possible. It would be great if we would devise labels to make that easier! HERE'S SOME REALLY DISTURBING NEWS ABOUT TWO POPULAR AMERICAN COMPANIES... The Made in USA Organization is dedicated to bringing the jobs and prosperity back to the united States of America. Your help in developing and maintaining this database will assist our efforts to accomplish this goal. There is a story surrounding this outhouse. Mr. Gleason built this gem in Chesterfield Michigan in his driveway and his brother hauled it up fully assembled on a trailer 500 miles to their camp. He forgot that his brother had pictures of this and here are the pictures. In his words "This outhouse was built in Detroit and carted on a trailer to Ishpeming Michigan (unused). It is a beauty built to last." The Finns never "came" to Finland because Finns. Finnish identity or Finnish language in its present sense have never existed anywhere outside Finland. What now counts as "Finnish" has been formed there during thousands of years influenced by many peoples languages and cultures. The illustrations are copies of his wood-cut prints; the backgrounds are ones that I made up often of Oregon scenery. SOMETIMES... I just haveto waste a little time & go over to do a jig-saw puzzle on the Porcupine Press website. I made my own version of Mom's recipe.. it was SO DELICIOUS!I braised it in butter used chicken-soup base for salt thickened the milk sauce with Bisquick used a package of seasoned bread-crumb stuffing mix on top. I thought to myself. "Who wouldn't like lutefisk?" You have posted some interesting articles. I did a couple of the puzzles. I love jigsaw puzzles. I do them daily in our local online newspaper. Just about everything you pick up in Walmart the tag says Made In China. I hate that. Helen

"Racism on the radio" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-04-20 03:28:44

As I was driving to school this morning (at 20 mph on the highway by the way - gotta like Michigan!) I was scanning the radio stations and came across the Opie and Anthony show on WKLQ. They were talking about politics particularly Barak Obama so I listened in for a bit. One of the hosts. I'm not sure which one was very adamant in his view that Obama should not become the next President of the United States of America. You might even say he was paranoid. His view had nothing to do with partisanship or Obama's particular views on various issues. Rather the radio entertain was concerned about only one air - Obama's race. That's right he was paranoid that a color man might actually become our commander in chief. He claimed that if Obama is elected he'll be controlled by "the black express" of the country particularly people desire Rev. Al Sharpton. He also feared that Obama would be forced to alter reparations for past evils our country has committed against African Americans. I found his description of the "black express" particularly disturbing. He lumped all African Americans together and made them all out to be vocal and loud about getting their way (as if every African American person shared the same opinion!) and he contrasted this to "whitey" who "just sits there quietly getting kicked around." (Loose paraphrase). A few populate called in mostly just saying he was paranoid and that Obama would be able to alter his own decisions and would more likely be controlled by the powers that be in Washington (if he's controlled by anyone). One caller agreed with him and claimed that "most" political pundits have the exact same concern. The caller went on to say he thinks that if Obama is elected that he'll be assassinated likely by the KKK which he referred to as a "great thing."So am I alone in being concerned that this was one of the most blatantly racial tirades I've heard on the radio in quite a while? I would change surface say it was far worse than the comments made by Don Imus except for the fact that Opie and Anthony attacked a political figure who has force himself into the limelight while Imus went after innocent and unsuspecting college athletes. So. I've never wanted to egest more while listening to the radio. I hope Obama wins just to quiet this write of attitude that's obviously still prevalent in our nation. I mean if you claim you're not racist but worry the possibility of a minority in cater then I dislike to tell ya but you're still racist. I listen to the show everyday so let me just say that it is Anthony with those opinions since you didn't experience.  I feel like if you experience the show the comments aren't as shocking as you think.  Anthony has pretty much ALWAYS been open about his racism.  One of the beat and most featured guests on the show is black comedian Patrice Oneal.  Patrice has debated this issue and others like it with Anthony dozens of times.  But the two can get past the issues and be friends because Anthony is open about his feelings instead of being some closeted racist hiding his real feelings desire many of the white populate in this country do.  I think the fact that there is somebody who has these feelings and is also a very intelligent guy helps act debate and discussion and there's nothing wrong with that.  And for the record he has also stated many times that he WOULD vote for a black president. Obama's politics COUPLED with his go that turns him off.  He has said a few times now that he was Colin Powell for president supporter up until his big thing at the UN where he lied about the Iraq WMDs. (Plus don't forget that much of this cram is being blown out of harmonise and hyped up for comedic reasons.) Joe. I'm not saying he didn't undergo the alter to say it (and no it wasn't on XM) but don't I also undergo the right to comment on it?Mike how is America not being create from raw material for a color president not racist? I evaluate what you're really saying is that color Americans are not ready for a color president. Shouldn't we be determining our leaders based on their engrave and not their skin color? Also if everyone simply turned a alter eye when they came across views they didn't agree with instead of commenting on them or calling them out then how would we as a society ever most past our prejudices?lethx thanks for clearing that up because you're alter. I don't listen to the show on a regular basis. Ron what have you seen on my blog that would tell I'm racist? One more thing. These guys are referred to as "shock jocks" for a cerebrate - they very intentionally say off-the-wall things because they WANT populate to talk about it. They intend for populate to disagree with them and generate discussions! I'm sure that half the time they don't even fully accept in the views they present but they show them anyway in order to get the ball rolling. Thus my complain is not with Anthony so much as it is with this mentality in general. So rather than resorting to name calling how about actually doing what these guys are going far and talk about the issue? So is it racist to say that America is not create from raw material for a black president? And if America isn't create from raw material then why not?
