Hello All! This is a long one folksWell the move down was unevenful the planes were pretty much on measure deliver for our first leg which went briefly on mechanical. Onl resulted in a 10 minute decelerate that was more than made up for by the end of the day. Got to Memphis about 330 thier measure. Another thing that was wierd was the pilot never announced when we actually crossed the time zones both ways. *shrugs*Upon arriving Tawny myself and Anu instantly relaised we were in the south when the humidity hit us outside the airport waiting for the go to the hotel. I am going to deliver some snow for the go driver hee hee he was great a fabulous guy filled with wit that made the go away of the con good. We checked in and got our fursuits and ran smack into Brun. open out he was our next door neightbor. Immediatley my first goal was to sight T. C and well I failed. However I did get to look over the hotel which much like a TARDIS looks much bigger on the inside than the outside. Four floors done in what Tawny described as a prison block but the open areas of the lobby and the garden area were wonderful. Hotel cater rocked! Two of the waitresses at the restuarant are going to get fursuits made how awesome is that?Ah the restuarant if one thing MFM does come up it's the food. I still yern for the fried chicken and the ribs. The chief was definately a good one and as corny as it sounds her macaroni and cheese was most good as well as a fabulous pasta noodle salad. But I am jumping ahead. approve to Thursday spent the sell of the evening looking for TC and ultimately kinda did when Maui told me he was suffering from a break down due in part to us apparently and the fact that the doors to the hotel's rooms weren't working in the con spaces. The drama (only one of the pass) apprently started when TC went to analyse on if we had checked in which of course we had. The hotel said we didn't. Still don't experience what went do by there and apprently we didn't check in til 11pm.. by then they would not label our room. Needless to say TC and me were bummed about that. Next morning we finally got together after a cute conversation on the phone with Anu and had breakfast the first of three mornings to do so. I got to meet some of the cater of MFM and finally Spike and Maui. Spike is uber funny and Maui well he's a dictionary of Boondocks. Family Guy. Futurama and go Brothers as come up as several other shows. Wonderful assort. Spent most of the day following TC around the con and eventualy did my own thing of suiting up here and there. Saturday was more of the same in the morning. I got into suit and ran into Jase who hugged me. He's so cute in suit. When to the fursuit meet and accost but had to leave before it actually became such because I was over heating. Went to the fursuit sit and got to communicate with various fursuiters which is and always shall be fun. Later on in the evning went to the guest of honor cater where I discovered that I can still get carded ( 30 years and I am still considered a teenager weeee!) and that I desire mead. I really like mead. :) Sunday spent sometime with TC again and got to look through the dealer's room and bought a little something that I ordain show when it gets in with my fursuit. I also ran into Tally a local fur and went to the charity auction. Folks it is sad to see that a con that gets 600 ish furs out does a con that gets 2800 furs at chairty work.... They raised 5000 dollars in the sell alone eventually raising nearly 10,000 all together. All the chairty bring home the bacon goes to Tiger Haven who sadly has lost several of their cats to cancer this year. Hopefully it will help those people out! :) The disguise was short but very come up done and I must say the inclusion of puppets was a very nice comprehend. They had a husky puppet singing the song: No no no oh if only Tibor was there... And Conga lining out was most exellant. Closing ceremonies were very sad but the fun is not over. We had dinner afterwards and then fursit games. I couldn't partake because my lenses in my fursuit kept fogging up. Don't worry this will be fixed at a later go out and in time for Furfright but I did manage to get some fun in with Anu being my piggy back ride and hanging out with TC. Next morning we got up and on our way bidding farewell to Maui and TC and MFM. I recommend this con to anyone that owns a fursuit has there are three days of games and come up a big area to play in at most times. It's a good con. Now approve to work on Furfright and artworks! :) Silvermane
Ok Lupine for you I shall give the savory details. Was going to do another post dealing with this along with some new photos but might be easy just to say it here and a third entry on MFM seems over blackball. Thoughts about T. C... well this is very personal to me. I will say that T. C and I share a lot in common and I am sure that we both cried when we left company that pass. I experience I did. I ordain also say that our meeting was the happiest momment I undergo had in a desire measure it was truely.
