"Why Many People Are Turning To Satellite Radio For Their Music" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-10-22 08:32:31

Satellite radio quality is more than just the overall value of the product. It is also how clear uninterrupted and flawless the satellite signal is. This new technology provides all the radio you could possibly desire without messy static and having to change the channel during a commute. The high analog-to-digital conversion means that you can listen to the radio without all that creepy hissing dead air and other frustrating audio interference. The digital quality of the service in technical terms is 128kb/s 44.1 kHz. For you technologically impaired and non-number minded folks that means that when you listen to it it's like listening to a CD only you don't have to mess with unwrapping it. When digital television hit the market people were scrambling over each other trying to get their hands on it. More of the same for satellite radio but unlike its visual counterpart this is commercial free. That means exactly what it sounds like; no one interrupts your listening pleasure to try and sell you cream or hypnosis. Satellite radio content is more than just local radio stations pawning off what other people think is good music on you. With the new non terrestrial radio you can listen to what makes you happy what puts you in a good mood what suits you as a person. You don't have to listen to Hip Hop. Country or R&B if all you want to hear is Sinatra and the Rat Pack. Content is also where the main two companies are fighting for your favor. XM may offer more of what you want to hear than Sirius and/or vice versa. Before subscribing you should take the time to find out which one would give you more content for your buck. Satellite radio is playing dirty. Each company is fighting for the exclusive rights to broadcast certain programs and transmissions on their radio systems. Not only are they fighting for programs but also people! Satellite radio is making great strides for its customers. The companies know that if you are willing to pay the money for a receiver and then pay a month subscription fee they should be willing to give you the absolute best programming they can offer. So why tie yourself down to earthbound radio stations when you can reach for the stars with the new technology?

"Radio" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-03 21:16:04

Although I do listen to the radio the only time i really do so is when I am in the car. Other than that I always listen to my Ipod or Itunes on my computer. One cerebrate is because i don't have a radio in my dorm dwell and although you can now listen to many stations through the Internet. I usually prefer to decide the songs I want to listen to. Even when I am in the car the only stations I listen to are those that compete music and change surface then I undergo a decide three or four that I listen to on a constant basis. These stations usually compete more current music from today or as early as the 90s other than that I usually do not listen to any other radio stations. I could listen to AM news stations or radio talk shows but I always can get my news from other sources and listening to the radio when I am driving is what gets me energized especially if I am driving to bring home the bacon. In fact the displace I listen to the most approve domiciliate in Milwaukee is called because it plays the most current music and has a great morning show! Also it is the one radio station whose website i visit because as you can see from the homepage they always undergo fun videos and other random contests and announcements to see. I undergo never personally chose to listen to National Public Radio but have heard it while in the car with my dad or grandparents. I don't listen to it because I always get my news from other sources such as the television or newspaper and enjoy the morning programs of my normal stations opposed to those on NPR. I conclude as though NPR is directed more towards an older adult displace and that many teenagers don't know NPR exists or simply decide not to listen to it. I accept there are benefits from it such as certain programs are specified at different interests that people may not be able to sight on other mediums such as the television. Also on certain shows you can hear people's opinions about subjects or happenings in the news which isn't found anywhere else really. Overall. I think the concept of NPR is great. I just like to listen to music rather than talk radio. Last. I do not accept that air radio is the answer. I feel it is good for populate who like to listen to a certain write of music or undergo options when it comes to radio shows as Sirius and XM furnish a variety of specialized stations. However for me I don't think it is worth the money since i would still listen to the same radio stations that I can get now for free. I would only pay for XM or Sirius if I was looking for a certain type of program or music displace that could not be found on regular radio. If you undergo the money to spend on it then it could be a good investment but it would definitely not be a top priority. Also another nice thing about satellite radio is the fact that it is commercial free. As for whether I would decide XM or Sirius it would really come drink to which one was cheaper per month and which I would be getting the exceed broach for my interests and lifestyle. One package may come with more stations that I would want to listen to where the other may only come with a few that fit my interests and the be I would never use. But overall I do not think I ordain be investing in air radio anytime soon especially since the only measure I ever listen to the radio is in my car and I don't even undergo a car here at school.

"radio everyday" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-23 15:11:31

Radio and music play a big role in everyday life. Music is found in commercials movies television and many other forms of media. I listen to lots of different types of music everyday but most of the time instead of listening to the radio I listen to my ipod or music from my computer. The reason I don’t always listen to the radio is because if I use my ipod or computer I can decide exactly what song or what write of music I want to comprehend. I normally listen to the radio when I’m driving. There are certain advantages and disadvantages to the radio. I don’t like all the commercials that are run on the radio and sometime popular songs are played too often. I do like however that it is a random selection and I can tune into many different kinds of stations. If I do listen to the radio it’s usually KDWB or K102. I don’t listen to news radio but do sometimes listen to a morning communicate show on KDWB which isn’t quite news radio. I don’t usually listen to news radio because I find it somewhat boring and I would rather listen to music can be a good thing when it comes to not wanting to hear commercials and there is a larger selection of music on satellite radio. However if I had to pay for air radio I would much rather broach with commercials and repetitive songs for free. I would listen to my ipod before I paid for air radio especially now that there are devices to plug in an ipod to your car so you can listen to your own music through the radio.

It allows producers to see what kind of music is “hot” at the time and it spreads hits which allows record companies to make money off of the radio’s listeners. Radio is also important as a create of news communication. "How to capture, save, record or download streaming audio for free" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-11-07 16:05:23

Ever wonder how you could possibly preserve or rip a song that’s being streamed across the Internet onto your computer for free? Trying to transfer streaming audio directly to your computer can be quite difficult because different sites undergo different security measures put in place so one program might bring home the bacon for one site but not another. However one surefire way of recording streaming audio from any web site is to simply capture it via the sound card on your computer. Basically there are programs that can record whatever is being played by your computer’s speakers so if you can comprehend it it can be recorded. Of cover you’ll have to listen to the entire song since the recording is live but it’s definitely much easier than trying to transfer the file from the web place directly. There are two programs that I use to interpret and deliver streaming audio: one installs as a toolbar into Internet Explorer or FireFox and the other one is a standalone program. If you don’t mind having another toolbar installed in your browser window is a very convenient schedule to use if you’re going to be recording music that’s mostly played via the web such as Internet radio etc.  Also it has many other features that make it quite useful such as the ability to extract audio from videos and preserve from your PC’s microphone or line-in turn. It also supports Windows Vista and has absolutely no spyware or adware so you don’t have to worry about pop-ups etc. You can save the recordings out as MP3 or as WAV files. By fail the "Record From Freecorder Audio Driver" is selected and this ordain preserve anything that is being played through your speakers. If you have a Windows input device such as a microphone you can select the second or third option. However remember to de-select the other options and only have one checkbox checked at a measure otherwise it creates a separate register for each source. You can also dress the output change to WAV prompt for a filename or automatically timestamp it and decide the location for the destination files.  Now start playing some music on your computer and press the red Record add. A little box ordain pop up and you should see the green line moving up and down. The nice thing about this program is that you can have your laptop sound on soften or have your speakers turned off and it ordain still preserve whatever is being played. Click Stop when you’re finished and then move Play to view your recordings. And that’s it! A pretty easy and cool way to record any sound or music off the Internet or from your computer. If you don’t like the idea of cluttering up your browser toolbar you can use a standalone program called which is also free.  Like FreeCorder this program also records whatever is being played by your computer’s speakers. However unlike FreeCorder this program requires that your sound NOT be muted. So if you want to record anything it has to be playing and you have to be able to comprehend it yourself. Also by fail. MP3MyMP3 tries to preserve from your microphone and not your sound card so click on the Source add and decide Stereo Mix as the appear source. The recording quality for both of the products was very good and sounded just desire the originals from what I could tell. Personally. I like FreeCorder exceed but MP3MyMP3 is also a fine alternative. This is part of what I wanted. Now. I wonder - ‘if I drink load what I want ordain I be able to cut out the pieces I want or just bring down the whole down to the part I want. That’s #1. And #2 is is there a way of attaching that appear or sounds to a particular photo document. HTML or whatever? - so that when you open it it sounds - possibly repeating? Do you have any ideas on all this?? mp3. swf. rm/ ra and wma/wmv’s files can almost always be open in your “Temporary Internet Files” you just undergo to get there and write it out before it’s done playing because in some cases it gets deleted from there when it’s done playing. Mp3MyMp3… The only source option that works for me is ‘What U hear’. I don’t believe it is recording from the sound separate…too much static. Any ideas? Also. I considered uninstalling and downloading the toolbar version. How do I unistall Mp3MYMp3? My OS is XP and I don’t see the program listed in those that can be removed? Dave - FreeCorder does not have any editing capabilities. The only thing it does is remove any keep sound from the beginning or end of a recording. As for attaching it to a document you can really only insert sound into a HTML enter. You cannot attach sounds to photos. George - You can uninstall MP3MyMP3 by going into the C:\schedule Files\MP3MyMP3 folder and clicking on uninstall. It also didn’t show up for me in the Add/shift Control Panel. Jocko - The software does not have the ability to schedule recordings though that.
