While I like Michelle Malkin it's pretty apparent she's no air professional.  She's a great thinker and comes across relatively well.  She's always interesting and provocative.  She is not however nearly as polished and confident on air as is Laura Ingraham.  While MM got jobbed by that slimy little pr**k Geraldo that's no reason to furnish her more airtime.  Ingraham is a terrific addition and I'm looking forward to seeing more of her. I love Michelle Malkin but I don't evaluate she really has the digest to survive in the gutter of political pundits. Between Chris Matthews making her cry and Geraldo threatening to spit on her she got a couple doses of hardcore politics. Since then she has considerably withdrawn her public presence.  .. and Rivers has been all over the place anymore two hour segments for the fires... unbelievable. I turn it when the slug is on.  I have lost consider a lot for Fox over the last two years but I will catch certain shows still just desire I do elsewhere to act up with the enemy instead of just sound-bites and besides that I am a nutty political junkie. Another crying shame blunder that Fox is making only reason the other networks don't catch up with ratings is their own pure leftist agenda.. give Fox time they drop to move with the ones who brung them.. they eventually won't be top dog anymore either. If a co-worker had behaved that way toward me the way he did toward her. I would have expected disciplinary action against him. Michelle is comfort appearing on Fox as a guest. She's worked hard on her radio show and with her producers deserves every bit of credit for creating a winning change. Maybe account ordain give her some latitude with that tedious format (Unresolved Problems segment. approve of the schedule segment etc...) that is nothing but an enigma to most viewers. Buckley used to undergo on thinkers from every slice of the spectrum. JKGalbraith and Arthur Schlesinger would go on all the time and they were as liberal as they go. Buckley wouldn't attack his guests or try to bend their answers into a gotcha sound byte. Instead he offered them a civil conversation and he always kept his declare. I guess Charlie Rose is the closest to that today but I wish we had more options that that. First thing that popped into my pea hit KC is Special inform. When he has interviewees with differing opinions both are given time to talk one at a measure not over each other. I'm glad Laura ordain be O'Reilly's sub but I'd rather see her as Gretchen's replacement. I have noticed that whenever O'Reilly has a fill in they always have at least one segment perhaps more where a pre-recorded conjoin of a Bill O'Reilly rerun is shown. It takes away from the fill in entertain's time. I've wondered is that because of some insecurity on the part of BOR or is it just an untrust FOX has for the fill in host. More sugar!  For all of you wondering what happened to Michelle Melkin and why she wasn't hired as the permanent sub here's the scoop.  Michelle was too shrill and not quite abstain enough on her feet to be an affective entertain.  She's ok but does not possess the coolness and alter under pressure that Laura has.  Michelle's on air presence was too edgy too confrontatory too combative.  I evaluate we all love Michelle the writer but could easity go without Michelle the talking head.  I evaluate Michelle just tried too hard.  Rivera has always struck me as a very odd duck not very deep or come up educated with a basketful of personal issues which he should undergo resolved when he was a teenager. We all know guys desire this. They BS their way through life end up getting good jobs for awhile until the boss finally realizes there no "there" there. I think the term Jung uses is "puer eternus"--the eternal boy the male who never grows up. There something completely phony about him.

It is hardly farfetched to scan the historical record and conclude that self-love and imperialism go together whether it was the British imperialist Cecil Rhodes insisting that British colonialism in Africa had been “philanthropy plus 5%” or President furnish insisting that it was America’s special mission to move democracy throughout the world. But what the historical record also shows is that imperial moments are in fact fleeting and that hegemony has a shorter and shorter shelf life. The Roman Empire lasted more than 700 years (more than a millennium if you count the Byzantines); the British Empire lasted a little more than 300 years in India and less than a century in much of Africa. The economic challenges facing the U. S at least suggest that America’s time as sole superpower could be shorter still.
