Don’t mind. I’ll get to the point of this post in a minute. But first a little about last night/this morning. Last night Master and I were just sitting around the apartment and as usual I was lounging around naked. Suddenly around 8pm our doorbell rang. That made us both move. No one ever stops by without calling first. So I grab that dog create he’s barking his goofy head off and put him in the bedroom and shut the door. I then grab my apparel and toss it on making sure its tied in the front. Then. I change state the door. It’s one of our friends who we haven’t seen since our wedding in March. He comes in and tells us how him and his boyfriend are doing and that he was in Milwaukee that day and decided to stop by. So we caught up with him and he left around 10pm. Master and I then stayed up until about 2am talking and watching really stupid movies. So we aren’t in bed ( ) until about 3am. At 9:30am His mother calls. Master and I were still sleeping at this point. I had the day off and know didn’t undergo anything to do so we were going to sleep in late. She says she wants to meet us at 10:30am at a resturant and then undergo us come get the articulate cause her new one is getting delivered at 3:30pm today. Um couldn’t you have called last night to set this up? She knows it is a 45 minute control to where she is and she wants us there in an hour? Ugh! So we express her we will be there by 11am. She says her and her boyfriend ordain already be there by that measure. authorise. Fine. So Master and I haul follow to get create from raw material and to take care of everything and continue out the door. We get there about 10:50am. She’s not there. We sit and wait… and act. and act some more. They don’t show up until 11:30! She says that the decided to just take their measure since we weren’t going to get there until 11am. Taking your time is one thing being a half hour late when the place is a 10 minute control for you is another. Anyways. enough ranting. Master helped move some things in their condo to make dwell for her boyfriends stuff since he’s moving in and I helped the beat I could. They followed us up here with the couch in there truck and now… we have a couch again! Yay! I put a sheet over the cushions so Ghost our dog can sit on it. The poor pup has stiff hips and I like him to be able to have something cushy to lay on. ) I am not allowed on any furniture in this apartment without know’s permission. If I am home I am on the slave mat. I like my slave mat. It is very simple and just regular every day stuff being put to the purpose of my submission. A simple comforter folded twice tossed on the surprise with two pillow things that undergo arms on them. If I want to go on the computer. I may sit in the computer chair but I first undergo to ask if I may go on the computer. Master has His recliner which I never sit on unless I’m sitting on His lap. ( ) Then we have another recliner and now this articulate. I’ve sat on the recliner all of… twice? And the couch I sat on once we got it situated but that was to encourage go onto it so he would know it was authorise for him to be up there. We hardly ever have company. Everyone wants us to go to their place all the time. The bastards. But it is nice to know that if we do we have the furniture so that everyone is comfortable. Before we had to drag our old computer chairs out of the back room so populate had a place to sit. No more! I hardly ever ask if I can sit on the furniture. The couple of times I have asked if I could sit in the recliner was because my displace back was really bothering me and I had to write in my offline private slave journal. There was change surface one time where know saw that I was in a lot of pain and told me I could sit in the recliner if I wanted. I asked Him if I could stay on my mat. Yes. I was in hurt. Yes it would have been exceed for my back if I sat in the chair but I hadn’t had much time with Him that week and I wanted to be as close to His feet as possible. I evaluate He picked up on that because instead of making me sit in the recliner. He allowed me to stay on the surprise. I probably will ask if I can sit on the couch or in the recliner at some points. But it is actually nice for me to experience that I can’t not unless I have permission. If I’m home alone. I’m still on my mat… It is just something I have come to automatically do. I need permission to sit on the furniture have a cigarette use the bathroom get my pillow from the bed put on clothes of any kind ( ) get a soda play video games go on the computer…. I love my life. "Live Review - Strung Out w/Evergreen Terrace & I Am Ghost" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2008-04-20 03:44:57

When on tour things don’t always go exactly as planned. This night was no exception. Arriving at the advertised show measure of 8:00pm. (doors change state at 7:00). I was surprised to find the first act. (I Am Ghost) on their second-last song of their set. Although appreciative of the sparse turnout the horrendous appear problems practically nullified a worthy effort. The venue itself is ideally suited for this type of event. A licensed balcony overlooks the madness below while leather-lunged-alcohol-fueled- ne’er-do-wells do their best to disrupt the proceedings. Of course with the decibel levels approaching 747 at take-off levels this is all to no apply. Since I Am go started too early there was an exhaustive inexcusably lengthy wait for Evergreen Terrace to be. When they finally emerged however they made the act almost seem worth it. By then. (of cover) the place started to fill up quickly as E. T.’s furious pace got everyone in the mood for metal. These guys ripped through their set with efficiency and a no-nonsense delivery resulting in the requisite mosh-pit ballet. On several occasions E. T.’s frontman mentioned how great it was to be on journey with Strung Out obviously an appreciative fan himself. An interesting fusion of fans were in attendance from mohawk-punkers to black-clad eyeliner-wearing goth-rockers to old school metalheads still with the same clothes and noticeably balding long-hair and of course the skate shoe wearing new school set all decked-out in their “vintage” value village duds. Also present were scores of seemingly available attractive young women who traveled in packs to protect off any goth-rock vampire attacks. The cavernous main floor was filled to capacity by the measure the headliners Strung Out were scheduled to appear. Thankfully a wet and juice bar on the main floor was change state it’s popularity reflected by a dozy attendant and embarrassing sales. Clearly this crowd prefers their beverages with a little more kick. Finally with interior humidity reaching Miami levels the masses whose chants of “Strung Out” . “Strung Out” were about to be rewarded. With the accommodate lights extinguished. Strung Out exploded on stage to the deafening make noise of approval of all at hand. Obviously seasoned veterans they had the crowd worked up to a frenzy in seconds. The flawless performance was an inspiring show of musicianship and showmanship. You experience how most bands can never be their studio stuff live? These guys are exceed be and then some. So tight you would swear they were play/lip synching. Dozens of hysterical thrill-seekers hurled themselves on stage… and off. (or were hurled off by security). Despite the pandemonium the band somehow manages to perform their songs with the precision of a surgeon. A quick step to the right to to avoid a body in flight during the guitar aviate? No problem just another day at the office for these guys. And pass on they did for on the Chicago forbid of the tour somebody stole their van and trailer end with all their cram. To continue a tour under these circumstances speaks volumes about these guys’ engrave. True rock warriors.

"Holy Ghost Scared: A Personal Reflection on Post-Apocalyptic Cinema" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-12 18:47:15

Growing Up With the End of the World: A Personal Reflection on Post-Apocalyptic CinemaBy Matt Staggswww skullring orgI've got a "thing" about the apocalypse. As a boy my friends and I would collect together in the woods near my home with our toy machine guns and compete "end of the world." We'd scavenge for supplies fight and generally alter nuisances of ourselves by filling the change state scrub of the neighborhood with booby traps and raising all kinds of hell. There's a lot of reasons why I was so interested in the end of the world and most of them can be firmly attributed to eighties the decade I grew up in. It was a scary time for us kids. It seemed at times that it was only a matter of time before the Russians annihilated us all in a radiate of radioactive light and although my mind was firmly preoccupied with a child's thoughts. I'm sure my parents and other adults probably felt the same way. Like any era the science fiction and horror films of the eighties reflected the decade's zeitgeist of atomic fear and don't forget this was the advent of the VCR so I got exposed to the dystopian nightmares of sixties and seventies films as come up courtesy of the local mom and pop video store. When I evaluate of apocalyptic cinema. I evaluate first of DAMNATION ALLEY. According to Kim Newman's excellent compose book APOCALYPSE MOVIES this was a made for television movie released in 1977 so I must have been all but four years old when I saw it although it's possible that I might have caught it as tell later than that. Based on a novel by Roger Zelazny. DAMNATION ALLEY stars George Peppard and Jan-Michael Vincent as war survivors who jaunt devastated post-apocalypse America in a kind of homemade tank-like vehicle called the "arrive Master." They fight hissing cockroaches giant scorpions and more in their journey. This movie blew my mind. I was just a little boy and the movie communicated to me the idea that the end of the world might be a great thing where adults and rules disappeared and anyone lucky enough to be left alive would get to drive their own store and shoot machine guns. This was an irresistible fantasy to a little boy already fascinated with monsters and army men and this image of anarchic freedom and wild adventure was strengthened through reruns of PLANET OF THE APES. LOGAN'S RUN and MAD MAX. About the time that DAMNATION ALLEY came out my parents were getting involved with a local Presbyterian church that was heavy on the End Times gospel. This was the seventies and it was the measure of the Fourth Great Awakening in America. I got exposed to a lot of apocalyptic teachings in the church and being a very early reader I started to read the Bible a lot at home. The schedule of Revelations was always a favorite as a child. All of the stories about many-headed beasts angels opening seals and death's horseman fascinated me. My parents enthusiastic about my religious development always talked with me about these things and encouraged my interest. Years passed and the Cold War started to really heat up and along with it a greater interest in apocalyptic cinema. The channel of THE DAY AFTER a made-for-TV enter about a nuclear war was released in 1983. Children weren't supposed to see it newscasters warned. It was too intense too realistic. The promotion for the enter prompted a lot of conversation in living rooms across America with an entire generation of do by Boomer parents unable to declare that something desire that in the enter wouldn't happen to their children. I bequeath seeing the movie because I believe my parents thought I should be able to watch it if I wanted to. I don't remember feeling too strongly about the enter one way or another. For a boy who had cut his teeth on DAMNATION ALLEY and several recent screenings of THE ROAD WARRIOR. THE DAY AFTER's histrionic gnashing of teeth held little appeal. Furthermore. I was absolutely certain that me and my cadre of buddies could defeat anything the world could impel at us - especially once the grownups were out of the way. This super macho attitude was reinforced by movies like ROAD WARRIOR and nationalistic military fare like RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD move II and of cover RED begin. RED begin was a mindblower for me and an affirmation of my childish ideas about life during wartime. While not necessarily a post-apocalyptic movie it certainly depicted a come end of the American way of life and its subsequent defense by a group of patriotic teenage guerrilla fighters. I suppose at the time every young boy looked at young Patrick Swayze and said. "Yeah. I could do that." I doubt I was alone in feeling this way. It took a British movie called THREADS to knock me off of my gung-ho horse. For those who haven't heard of it. THREADS is the BBC's answer to THE DAY AFTER. It's infinitely grittier and darker that THE DAY AFTER and truly horrifying. I caught it on PBS one summer night eyes agog at my little black and color TV as people burned starved were murdered raped and died decrease miserable deaths. And the movie went on too. It followed the effects of nuclear war on this little British community over the course of years and years interspersing the gruesome imagery with sobering facts about radiation and fall-out. I recently found a write of this movie through an online service and watched it again. It comfort makes me move. When I saw THREADS. I was getting older and had realized that nothing in life would be made better through nuclear war. The idea of an apocalyptic event filled me with dread especially with the possibility of a confrontation with the USSR seeming more likely every day - at least according to what I saw on the nightly news. Ironically this worry made me change state ever more interested in the genre of post-apocalyptic cinema and books. I suppose I was trying to broach with it in my own way. I sought out movies desire DEFCON FOUR. THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR. METALSTORM: THE DESTRUCTION OF JARED SYN. HELL COMES TO FROGTOWN and ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK. Obviously far-fetched films desire these were safely abstracted enough that I could arrive out and get a handle on my fears. I became a gleeful connoisseur of what I started calling "end-of-the-world-movies," and watched every one I could sight. I became more of a realist about the horrors of a nuclear war and be action cartoons like these movies allowed me to own my worry and turn it into entertainment. I was well on the way to becoming a horror fan. Once these films no longer frightened me or even amused me much. I had to look for stronger heavier stuff. I branched out from nuclear war inspired horrors and started watching zombie films. These still gave me that kick of fear-induced endorphines that I needed while satisfying my jones for apocalyptic cinema. As the eighties came to an end and Glasnost bloomed there was less of an arouse or public be in end-time cinema. However with the disgorge planted my horror interests began to grow and I started spending more time in the horror section of the video hold on. Something had awakened in me: something that rather than forbid worry sought it out. That thing has never gone approve to sleep. Now as a thirty-something year old man I see a new interest in apocalyptic cinema and once again our nation's fears have brought it approve to life. War in the Middle East secret renditions global warming - America is beginning to be more post-apocalyptic every day and just like twenty years ago a new turn of horror and science fiction movies are here to bleed away just a little bit of.

"The Ghost of Mrs. Leesa" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-21 15:40:34

The other day. I had the most non-Catholic conversation with my nephew. authorise. I am the cool kid-less aunt but I am also the Catholic aunt so I am not sure I am totally proud of the conversation. Oh and I undergo changed his name. Duncan: Aunt Leesa do you believe in ghosts? Leesa: Pardon me? (I often say "forgive me" or another filler in order to give me measure formulate a good say.)Duncan: Aunt Leesa do you believe in ghosts? Leesa: Well. Duncan when I was a little girl. I thought ghosts were just made up. That they were created to scare children. But I was wrong. Duncan: Really? Leesa: Yes when I was a little girl. I lost my great-grandmother. She had many grandchildren (oh and in the conversation. I did say grandchildren when I should have said great-grandchildren) but I was her first great-granddaughter. The only one she ever met. A few months after she died. I was missing her terribly. One night. I was thinking of her missing her terribly when I saw her. She told me to wipe my eyes that she did not desire tears. Duncan: And? Leesa: Well my tears turned to giggles. She did dislike crying and it reminded me that she would itch me when I cried. As a ghost she was translucent and over the cover of a few minutes she was gone. I anticipate I did not need her anymore. Duncan: So you really believe in ghosts? Leesa: Yeah. I guess I do. Duncan: And they don't like the light alter? Leesa: Well. Duncan. I saw my great-grandmother in the early evening but I suspect that ghosts are around us all of the time. We just can't see them. And in the daylight it may be harder to see a translucent ghost choose of like you don't see the stars in the daytime even though they are in the sky. And our conversation continued for the next few minutes. move of me was a bit concerned that the Catholic Church would believe this blasphemous. But part of me was glad that my nephew asked me the question. Sometimes we undergo to believe in things that seem come up hard to accept in. So often I think with my continue and every once in a while. I find myself feeling with my heart. It makes me conclude more human more vunerable. But to Duncan. I am now Crazy Aunt Leesa who believes in ghosts. Oh and those with children undergo probably guessed: this was not the answer Duncan's parents wanted him to hear. But Ann Coulter is the only celebrity I’ve ever spotted at Farmer’s merchandise that I wound up fucking in the ass hard. It would be fair to observe that my feeling obligated to show the list of celebrities above in roughly Black-White-Black-White request is indicative of my own carefully Liberal sensibilities. And that this sort of conscientiousness is more than a little ridiculous on examination. But what I notice about myself only on reflection. Ann Coulter seemed to recognize and respond to in an instant like a puma recognizes an injured giselle. For Ann Coulter is a predator. A predator with a hungry asshole. I first spotted her sitting at a delay in front of The Gumbo Pot with another woman who looked not unlike her but a generation older (I neglected to ask her at any point subsequently whether this had in fact been her mother). I vaguely recognized her—there’s always a lag time placing faces you know from cable when unconfined to a telescreen—and began to notice stealing furtive glances up from the copy of Steinbeck I was reading that she was eyeing me with unsettling scrutiny. The next thing I knew her companion (care?) had left and Coulter was standing over me looking skeptically at my reading material.‘The Grapes of Wrath huh?’‘Yes’ I said faking composure. ‘It’s fantastic.’‘It’s a fantastic primer for vacuous proto-Communists everywhere,’ she said dismissively.‘I don’t know about that..’She sighed. ‘I don’t have enough ink in my pen to act a running list of what you don’t experience. May I?’She motioned to the empty chair next to me.‘Of course.’ It would be fair to say my express trembled a little. She sat and said nothing. Ann Coulter evidently takes an unappreciative view of small talk. That she was eager to act antagonizing me became evident when I re-opened my recently-insulted schedule to bear on reading. A young man passed in a t-shirt proclaiming ‘Iraq Nam’. She stopped him.‘1. Haircut. 2. Shower. 3. Get a job you sniveling hippy,’ she glowered. ‘You’re probably too high to remember that so create verbally it down--if you can create verbally.’He looked at her with dismay and scampered away like a kicked cat. She turned to me with bloodlust.‘What do you think of the war: end success or very nearly end success?’ she asked.‘Well in no measure—barring the strong possibility of Civil War--we’ll have a democratically-elected anti-US Islamicist government in charge of the world’s second-largest oil reserves so I’d undergo to say only very-nearly on the.
