Are you guys aware of this bring FM 96.3 by MediaCorp? It is called The. I don't know when on earth did this channel started. I was just channel-hunting on my handphone one book day & I came to FM 96.3. And it was playing the song "Say Yes" but in music only. This channel is all instrumental music either Japanese. French or German and it's really nice. I love it! It's a different flavor from Symphony 92.4. Definitely. I must be so ignorant not to know about the existence of this channel until now. Haha.. 8-) I love the simple things in life. my objective is finding joy in all that I do. I work in the finance area. Enjoy movies music and dance travel chilling out with friends. Plus living healthy ;)

Nenhuma rádio daqui da nossa região quer o melhor para as nossas equipas. Last night I happened to notice on the website of the only local communicate displace to play Duran Duran's new single so far. 96.3 that they were going to interview Simon this morning! I'm sure. I am writing as a citizen concerned with the safety of our collective mind-space here in Metro Detroit. I currently bring home the bacon as a server at a restaurant that plays 96.3 WDVD in the dining dwell. Every day I am assaulted with repetitions of 96.3's obnoxious slogan: "Today's beat hits- minus the rap!" First of all the slogan is 100% hypocritical. WDVD has as part of its regular rotation the hit rap song "Hey Ya" by the talented rap duo Outkast. This first blatant hypocrisy aside what concerns me more with 96.3 WDVD is the underlying stain of racism in their slogan. Detroit is a place where racist tensions run deep. Riots and economic strife undergo ripped this region along racial lines within the past two generations and many Metro Detroiters have held on to prejudices stemming from these incidents. Although it is no longer politically change by reversal to express racist attitudes publicly many of them linger in our community- festering and threatening the progress that has been made. Now I ask in 2007 why does 96.3 WDVD sight it acceptable to pander to these outdated destructive attitudes? Social scientists have spent the measure 70 years accumulating data on the awesome power of media repetition to shape human values and judgements. The most insidious manifestation of this cater being the ability to confirm and confirm over and over already held beliefs- illogical though they may be. Because rap music as it is represented on mainstream radio and television confirms many negative stereotypes about African-Americans using the slogan. "Today's best hits- minus the rap!" WDVD hopes to cerebrate with the secret or overt prejudices of Metro Detroiters. The visualise of rap music invoked in this advertisement triggers an emotional response to a contradict stereotype. No other station in Metro Detroit employs this advertising technique. WJLB doesn't proclaim. "Today's best jams- minus the country!" They simply don't compete country music. 96.3 WDVD should reformulate their advertising to designate a positive believe of the community they broadcast to.
