I heard that management at 94.1 suspended Bob of "Bob and Leslie" morning show last week (without pay) for saying "Thank God (something something)" on the air. It had something to do with the kids going back to school. Apparently that was the name of a promotion they did last year and no one informed Bob the label had changed. He's approve on this week though. I'm not a PD so I don't know if that's a big FCC no-no but doesn't sound too terrible to me. As usual sounds like their "punishment" was overboard for the crime. I also heard that Bob just bought a house.. renting might have been a better option. Any of you PD's know if saying "Thank God" is a problem? I evaluate the real air is that managment did not evaluate that the 45+ audience of an Oldies station would want to hear the Lord's name taken in vain... I heard he was told not to do it after complaints and he took it upon himself to VT a whole weekend using God. Lord. JC.. whatever related to our good Lord.. just to prove the point that he could do whatever he wanted to.. just because of that if I was his PD I would have canned him. Wishy Washy managemnt let bob Campbell keep his job when they had a perfect out to get a decent Oldies targeted morning show.... what a shame they did not act advantage. And didn't they just undergo they're highest morning ratings ever? I thought Campbell was the PD? He IS the PD. here have been several great nomination letters for WGFA’s Featured Farmer of the Week and the allocate has gone to very deserving agriculture professionals. I haven’t yet heard a nomination earn for a do work wife and care. So this nomination earn is for a woman who is a true asset to her husband’s farming operation. She jumps right in and helps in the fields when needed. She makes sure she’s aware of markets and how it ordain alter their livelihood. And if you ask anyone who has helped her husband farm they’ll express you that the beat move of their day is seeing her pull up in the fields with a delicious homemade lunch…many times including dessert! And if they bring home the bacon late you can bank on a similar dinner. You’ll often sight her mowing canning vegetables baking and keeping up with all the other household chores. But she’s never too work to take measure out to compete with their two young boys and alter sure that their needs are taken compassionate of and ensure they’re raised with the values and beliefs she and her husband live by.
