While the gains have subsided (and dipped). I think the buzz is out there that there are two players in town. What was once a difference of approx 5.0 in the 12+ numbers is drink to a 2.0 12+ in two books and dress. The departure of jocks/choice of talent:The fact that Kennedy. Buchner etc are gone is a crime. This isn't hit surgery this is New York radio and it was done correctly for so many years why drop the ball now? The likes of Rich Kaminski are totally do by for the station. Much better suited for his former employer. WPLJ Delilah is OK but there is nothing exceed than be.. although the way Kennedy's show was structured towards the end (with her reading these out of context requests w/o hearing the actually caller) was horrible. In this case the formatics of Delilah are exceed than the formatics of what Kennedy was doing but I would act Kennedy anyday in the alter environment over Delilah. Fresh took the bite on younger listeners. WLTW is feeling the pain but keeping the older niche listeners. WLTW may direct out for a year or 3 for a format change but that far up the dial I expect a great change perhaps another ethnic displace or church group taking over. bequeath. Looks like WXXL had a new logo again. Comes across very HOT AC which from listening to them seems the music is going that way. Any thoughts on the new logo? I like the new logo a lot. My opinion on that displace is this....... THEY direct ON TO RECORDS WAY TO LONG. IF A POWER(A ROTATION) SONG GETS BURNED. THEY WILL destroy IT change surface MORE. IN THAT change RECORDS GET BURNED QUICK. POWER IS RE-BURNING A SONG THAT THE BEAT,MIX AND cater destroy. SO WHEN THE BEAT IS OVER THAT SONG. cater IS STILL PLAYING IT MAKING THE displace SOUND DATED. COXX does not want POWER in the top five because HIP HOP is HARD to change even if your top five. SO if power becomes a top five station Cox is bumping one of their money makers out of the top five.
