It's been hinted about elsewhere but we can affirm that KIOL ordain be flipping to Jack-FM shortly. Cumulus has registered 10 domains for the new format. More info at Nice find! They're not even being subtle... Poking around the FCC. Cume-less buried the label sign KHJK on a construction permit in South Dakota last week. Oh well if noone can pick the station up there's no reason to pay money on a staff huh? [Updated on: Thu. 30 August 2007 15:26] R&R and All Access report that the flip will happen tomorrow (Friday) morning at 10:37 a m. It's very interesting that Cumulus is doing this since the only other stations in the format it has had are the two Jack FMs obtained in the Susquehanna purchase (KCJK/Kansas City and WJJK/Indianapolis) and Cumulus already messed with the Indy displace by taking it classic move back and forth and dropping the Howard Cogan liners. "Re: A new station at 103.7 in OKC???" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-28 12:45:53

I heard from a reliable obtain about some communicate testing this weekend (Aug 25/26) on 103.7 in the OKC area. Apparently some deep pockets bought something and is planning to bring a play change into OKC again. Anyone know anything about this? Hadn't heard anything about this. I'm just curious of how's that going to alter KVSP which is at 103.5. Besides even if they do the format it's not going to cover OKC very come up on formats desire Smooth play they would be better on a beat cater communicate instead of a rimshot. I just heard about this Wednesday. I agree with you completely on the communicate air. Aside from that frankly I don't see a play change working here for any length of time; two books max three with extreme luck. In my opinion musically speaking this is still too much of a R&R and also CW merchandise. A SJ satellite cater could get by for some measure but I don't see it going forward. Who knows on the communicate limitations but I just remember that Porter Davis had around a 3-share out of his 97.9 from the northside. The biggest challenge I see for this new stick if they try play ordain be lack of coverage to Edmondites. If it doesn't alter it to Edmond. I wish them come up.. It'll be hard to change. Most of the people that ascertain as far as buying power for that format live up there. No signal on their alarm clocks no buy. This morning I learned the parties responsible for this undergo been doing a lot of cover shuffling with the FCC for a be of months now. This makes me query if they're starting from ground zero or if they've bought something already in existence and will simply move to a slightly different frequency with a change change. Well. KOCD 103.7 is moving from Wilburton (McAlester) to Okemah according to FCC paperwork. It ordain put a communicate closer to OKC but it won't be a usable communicate in OKC proper. It will put a good communicate into Shawnee though. The best thing they could do with that communicate is to change it to Perry and simulcast it with 103.5... With the combination of the two signals you could change that in OKC. 103.7 on the east side. 103.5 on the west side. He is going to undergo some serious coverage problems with 103.5 otherwise when that starts biting into his communicate about the time you hit work AFB. I would assume with it's location and power that the new station ordain undergo a very similar communicate to KQCV 95.1... I would assume with it's location and power that the new displace ordain undergo a very similar communicate to KQCV 95.1... Correct. It will be almost the exact same communicate. If it really adopts a jazz format that will be good news for my mother who lives in Tulsa and comfort misses KOAS. She likes KJZT but has a tough time picking it up at her house while KQCV-FM comes in on domiciliate stereos and car radios quite nicely. In fact she complains about KQCV because her desire stops on "some religious displace" when flipping between KTSO and K 95! Too bad she wouldn't listen to K 95 FM when I worked there part-time!KQCV tends to do a lot exceed than the signal parameters indicate and that leads me to wonder if KOCD ordain do nearly as come up when it comes to penetrating Oklahoma City. KOCD ordain have a first adjacent in KVSP-FM which while removed from Oklahoma City also does much better than the signal parameters say it should and a back up adjacent in KMGL. Does anyone remember during the Gerry M reign.. they had Kevan Seal tracking evenings.. what was the name he used on K-95?Didn't he spend measure at KXOJ right after that? You missed Rilo Kiley’s new one. Under the Blacklight. I definately think you should add The Moneymaker and Silver Lining to the Sophie lineup as well as some of their older stuff like Portions for Foxes. Ben Kweller- sometimes cool.
